I'm not really sure how they're trying to portray Bulma. She is somehow both a super-genius, but is never more than a complete ditz anyway.
I don't think movie-Bulma will be either of those things.
I'm actually starting to like White-Piccolo, but everything else still seems off. I guess it's like I said before, this is just a very loose adaptation.
Edit: Overall, I think I'm enjoying Jamie Hewlett's live-action Journey to the West short film more than I'm anticipating whatever this movie will be.

After seeing that latest pic of her i'm even more convinced that this 'adaptation' of Bulma has been advanced a few levels in Badass. I'm now expecting her only connection to the Bulma from the original will be a propensity for gadgetry, hoewever I don't think Hollywood woudl be able to handle having an action girl who's pretty much useless at action so I expect no small number of mooks will end up being dispatched by a duel wielding, ATV trick popping, illegitimate daughter of MacGuyver and Lara Croft who we're referring to as Bulma.
Chatwin looks like a retard with that turkey leg, but I can't blame him really. I don't think anime over eating translates well into live action without the character already being visibly fat.
The master Roshi picture though is somewhat heartening, hopefully they'll give a nod to his dirty old man persona by having him hit on all the girls and get a beat down for his troubles. I think a grope heavy fight scene with sexy ninja Mai might milk some laughs.

White Goku who isn't hench is screwing this up fo rme, plus Piccolo looks more like Emperor Palpatine than a Namek.
And the high school setting with flash cars just kills it for me.
I am ok with the cars and the high school. I didnt really watch DB, was more into the DBZ, and you cant really explain the fact that Goku is an alien and that he lived in some remote location with only his grandpa, not to mention have Piccolo in there and make it good. So I am going to have to wait and see like everyone else...

Goku was supposed to be a simple guy because of his upbringing who could goof off. How on earth is that going to be transmitted in the current setting? The most they can do is make the character a dumbass, which skews things.

My prediction is that Justin Chatwin will be "an ordinary, everyday teen" who gets caught up in events far greater than himself, and must summon the courage within himself to become a truly great warrior. Actually, I doubt his real name will even be Goku. They really seem to be taking the easy, safe route with this movie. It won't be profound or amazing, but probably kind of fun. It will be an ordinary action flick, with superficial references to names and characters from the anime/manga. You all need to stop shitting your pants just because "Goku doesn't even have a tail."

Pretty much what I've been saying, except I'm less enthusiastic about the possible fun of seeing this movie. I imagine he'll choose his own superhero name, much like Paul Atreides picked "Muad'dib" when he became a superhero.
