Not related to the movie, but this video shows dragonball artwork drawn by manga artists of other popular series. I can translate some of the titles if anyone wants to know, but its probably more fun guessing who's style of drawing the art belongs to.

I've had the one done by Kishimoto for a few years now. I never realized there were others out there like it. Very cool.

Edit: And the first one is done by Kubo Tite. Trunks' and Piccolo's mouth in that one are a dead giveaway.

<@Terra> he told me this, "man actually meeting terra is so fucking big", and he started crying. Then he bought me hot dogs

Because he isn't even that old. The hair's needed to show his age.

As for the video, I thought Claymore Piccolo was rather interesting. Lots of good ones there that I can't name.

I think you're mistaken about that. If I remember correctly, Master Roshi had the white beard and mustache even in the original DB series. He's always been portrayed as an old guy, even when he was Jackie Chun. And where are the trademark sunglasses?

Here's a picture of Chow from another movie, which is a much better likeness to Roshi:

For God will not permit that we shall know what is to come... those who by some sorcery or by some dream might come to pierce the veil that lies so darkly over all that is before them may serve by just that vision to cause that God should wrench the world from its heading and set it upon another course altogether and then where stands the sorcerer? Where the dreamer and his dream?

That would be a very good Evil Roshi. Just give him a Hawaiian shirt and a magazine, and I'll buy it. Well, at least good to be proven wrong that Chow Yun Fat can act/look old. Perhaps they intentionally made these characters different from the anime. After all, directors would rather be creators rather than copy cats.

I'd rather they be copy cats than be the creators of crap.

if you are expecting a dragon ball movie, you are not going to like it... if you are expecting a movie with elements from dragon ball it could be nice...

That's actually an excellent way to think about it. Wow, welcome to the new guy. Here's hoping it's a great movie with elements of DB then.

Here's a good look (in manga form) of how Goku's gi is going to look like:

"Our hearts are full of memories but not all of them reflect the truth. The heart isn't a recording device. Even important memories change with time. They warp or fade, leaving us with but a shadow of what we hoped to remember." 天の道を行き、全てを司る。これは僕の世界。

They're not doing Chatwin's huge forehead any justice.

Btw, whose the artists and what does the dialogue say?

it's been awhile since my shitty humor met my shitty Mspaint skills,

also, Now I see that it's not Krillin and Yamcha, since Yamcha came to the turtle hermit school a year or two after Krillin, which doesn't fit with these two charecters.

edit: My guess is that this is the same scene in the anime, before the final tournament, when Goku comes back and is now taller (and bigger) than the others.

Guy on right: "It's a Hollywood version cosplay!"

Guy on left: "It's the real thing!"

I love the American-ness of Goku in that drawing. Vacant stare, blonde hair, light eyes.

I like it though. Looks good.

    yea...
how are they gonna make a movie about DBZ without DB?
and people will get confused when they see both dinasaures and machines,in the series it was clear that everything there is like in a different timeline but im sure people will ask when is this happening.
and ill bet the action wont be that good either X:

We should just wait till a trailer or something comes out before bashing on it. The design of the gi is really crazy but are they really gonna use that?
No one but the enemy will ever teach you how to destroy and conquer. Only the enemy shows you where you are weak. Only the enemy tells you when he is strong. And the rules of the game are what you can do to him and what you can stop him from doing to you. I am your enemy from now on. From now on, I am your teacher."
