    Naruto Shippuuden: The Movie

    Whats good,

    I don't see a thread about this so I started one. I just saw the 4th installment of the Naruto Movies trailer and I must say it looks great!!!. We finally get a glimpse of possibly some real action, more than the past episodes combined in my opinion, from Naruto and what looks like Rock Lee, Neji, Sakura, and Choji. Rock Lee seems to be fighting a rock creature and opened a few gates during the process (SWEET) and Naruto's rasengan somehow fades.

    The movie comes out in japan August 4th, I wonder how soon we'll be able to get it here!?

    If christmas was a bigger thing in Japan it would seem like a clever business move to release a dvd by then, but since that's not the case, who knows. In any case there will be a significant delay, just like there were with the previous movies. First or second quarter next year, I'd guess.

    somebody posted this a while back... looks really interesting, and at the same time i am confused how they already have a shippuuden movie with the series only at episode 21. Anyhow, if it is like the bleach movie we are going to have to wait until may 2008 for it

    It certainly looks totally different compared to the previous Naruto movie that should be erased from the annals of history. This one actually looks promising.

    Oh god....I hope it wont be the same one as the other 3....

    that is why I stopped avoided movie 3...Fortunately this is Shipuuden so I have hopes..but then again Hope leads to the road of disapointment.

    Once again Rock Lee always gets the best animation for his fight, both in the anime and the standalone movies. That is not to say that the other fight won't have good animation, I'm just saying that Rock Lee never disappoints.

    I disagree with the Rock Lee animations. Has anyone watched the previous shippuudens with the clones. That could be some of the worst animation naruto has ever produced.

    the new trailer looks pretty good. I get the feeling that in this movie we'll really see what new techniques and jutsus everyone has learned. so far in the series, we haven't seen much of anything except new looks. how long ago did this trailer come out because isn't the movie already showing in japan?

    the movie has been out in Japan for at least two weekends now.

    i wouldn't expect to see many new elements introduced in the movie that you would call 'canon' and actually applicable to the series. The director is someone who has never had anything to do with anything Naruto. The Screenplay, however, is by someone who also does series composition for Shippuuden, the series.

    i don't recall anything from the previous movies ever being included in the series.

    DB claims to have released the Naruto Shippuuden Movie. I believe it's a troll as they claim on their front page they used H.264 to encode this, yet it's an avi, however you can decide for yourselves, download at your own risk.
