was going to post in the other thread "naruto fansub*" but... at any rate, i am downloading both of these and will watch whichever finishes first. hopefully im impressed, went to DB and they had only a hebrew sub which on the other page shows as a yhbt so... lets see what the flompers have

edit: flomp is winning big time, its running around 240 kbps and sb only around 50

    edit again :

So, i watched the flomp sub, and its hard to say "i thought it was good" as if i am watching naruto just for puerfect subtitles.... it was a good episode, and the flomp subs seemed to be as good or better than DB. Not speaking or knowing japanese its not like i can complain about things like proper grammar. DB has been good to me for a long time but in a situation like tonight i just want to watch naruto... and flomp delivered

some of the ep dragged out, the needle part especially. overall was good though, anxious to see how they proceed.

You can skip the first 12 minutes of this episode and still understand it.

I liked how Chiyo's head bobbed to the music when she was undoing her hair. Animation for the episode wasn't sloppy but it wasn't the greatest either. The needle part was indeed awkward looking.

Stupid awkward looking and repetative needle part.

Oh well, still a decent episode at least, way too much dialogue slowing down the fights though.

I think I'd rather see a mini series based on the scenes from the ending theme than filler and drawn out fights.

For a guy that hates waiting, Sasori was wicked patient for the first half of this episode.

The needles scenes. Hrmm. I will say these. Each "shot" looked cool. For about 2 seconds. As each shot dragged on past two seconds and you could see them repeat the same movements over and over, they started looking stupid.

I'm guessing Granny did something to Sakura. Since Sakura specifically said she wouldnt' be able to dodge his attacks, and then she did.

Since she's also a puppet person(I think, the whole family is right?) I'm wondering if maybe she was actually controlling Sakura's movement.

Oh yeah, and we learned what Sasori's "deal" is. Puppet armor. Sweet. The rocketfist with the pipes full of needles was pretty awsome too.

Well, once again most of the content was actually in the manga.....just...ugh....so stretched out. It was kind of a horrible way to end the ep too.

If I only had the patience to wait three weeks, maybe then I could get some satisfaction out of naruto. The long dialogues are really annoying. I would like to see some action and preferably uninterrupted by dialogues action.

Agreed on everyone's opinion of the needle scene, but heck, it was awesome compared to Naruto's fight.

He did what this entire episode?! Sent himself flying into a cliff and shouting. Are the same guys who did old Naruto doing Shippuuden, or has there been a changeover?

I thought that it was a good episode. Yeah there was alot of talking in the first part. But they had to explain shit too, like the puppet that he was using, his combat type. The normal backstory stuff. I liked it. Sakura put all she had into that punch and she was dodging needles all gracefully, Naruto was lame and screamed the whole time. -dg-

assertnfailure (7:40:03 PM): dude....your posts are a bunch of nonsense

    Spot on!

But I'm just happy something really did happen in this episode, think for a moment. After the commercials, something actually happen!

They aren't skipping another week, are they?

    Thumbs down

90% of Naruto's screentime was the same exact thing...him screaming for garaa....and 50% of it was in the same spot. I dont understand how Sasori could wait a whole fucking 12 minutes to begin the fight. It seems as though they stretched the entire episode so they could end it with sasori just about revealing his true self. The only reason I bare with this bullshit is because its worth it for whats going to happen in future arcs....unless they fuck that up too.

is it just me or is naruto more pathetic now than before the jump?

I think he peaked when he read that forbidden scroll in episode 1.

Out of boredom I counted them up, this episode covered 20.5 pages of manga, which is essentially one chapter with padding. It's no wonder it seems so slow. They are basically reading a manga chapter to us with to us with some action sequences added in between a panel here and there. In this case it was the needle dance, the Tsunade flashback, and generally showing people in motion instead of the manga where people just move in between panels.

While this pacing works fine for the manga, where you don't spend more than 5-10 minutes reading, it's fairly attrocious to have it stretched into 20+ minutes. There's just not enough happening between panels.

The thing is, if the anime is going to pad, then need to pad with things that anime is good at. Action scenes.

Instead of having people standing there for 10 minute, you could have them making and dodging attacks while they talk. You know. Have shit movie. In manga, they only ever show like 3 moves in a fight. And the fight is over.

In anime, you need to add more than that. That's why Naruto vs. Sasuke 2 was so awsome. Like half of the fight was stuff added for the anime, and that made the fight freakin awsome.

This has got to be the worst Naruto episode I have ever seen. This show is going downhill faster than a pornstar.

Yea, but the manga just keeps on getting better and better.

Very true but since the anime can't live up to the manga that now leaves us only one source of Naruto enjoyment.
