And then they cancel the anime and the people making the manga get sick of it and end it with a rushed note as they run out of money and interest.

yes.. the needle dance is very awkward @_@
seems like they are dragging the show...and Naruto had to repeat "I'll take Garaa back" for a few times each episode.
<3 Tessa-chan! <3 Lucifus! ....chotto mate.
I got the impression that the Grandma was somehow helping Sakura by steering needles away herself. I mean even Sasori thought Sakura should've been minced meat with all those exploding needles. Unless they were trying to emphasize Sakura's growth in expert dodging or something random like that.Sakura put all she had into that punch and she was dodging needles all gracefully, Naruto was lame and screamed the whole time.
and yes, I agree it must be a little boring for Naruto's voice actor these past 3 eps.
Hello,
I have been a long time viewer of these forums and I enjoy reading comments of others on Naruto and all the likes and dislikes of episodes and how the series has been progressing. I have never wanted to write anything on the forums until today. In fact I signed up today, just so I could write. I am so sick and tired of people complaining about how slow the new Naruto Shippuuden series is going. Does nobody remember what happened in the last series? We had over several months of garbage fillers that were god awful and so cheesy. Do we really want this to happen again? I think its great that they are slowing down the series, it means that they actually care about the viewers opinion, since everyone raised hell when the fillers started to feel endless in the last series. So please unless you want to month after month of fillers just deal with the fact that the episodes are going to be slowed down. I have said what I wanted to say, good night and god bless.
Who of you also has a feeling that Sasori could be the sandaime kazekage? From the moment Hiruko's shell broke.
Maybe far fetched
Hakke Rokujūyon Shō!
Blooth24,we r complaining that the series become so boring with the stretching and all we hope is that it'l be filling 1.5 or 2 mangas like before. do not forget that we watched fillers for more than 2 years so the manga is way ahead of us so it is not fair for all this waiting to make NS what we waited for so boring.
I would much rather have the episodes be released weekly, or even bi-weekly, if it means not trying to stretch one chapter of manga into a single episode. They of course wouldn't do this as they would lose a lot of advertising money. If they truely cared about the fans' opinions as you said, then they would be. Right now, its pretty obvious that they only care about the money their advertisements pull in when more people watch non-fillers.Originally Posted by Blooth24

Naruto fillers were better than these slow death episodes. At least you could tune out and do something else while watching filler, or skip it altogether if you wanted to. By them stretching it out like this, you still have to watch or you might miss the one or two relevant scenes in between several useless scenes of Naruto yelling or people standing around. I'd rather they paced normally, with a little filler like the Konoha Tourist Association bit, or stretch some scenes (preferably fight scenes), but what they are doing now is worse than the fillers.
“For God will not permit that we shall know what is to come... those who by some sorcery or by some dream might come to pierce the veil that lies so darkly over all that is before them may serve by just that vision to cause that God should wrench the world from its heading and set it upon another course altogether and then where stands the sorcerer? Where the dreamer and his dream?”
The main gripe about the Shippuuden is the fact that Kishimoto is fucking us in the ass with his golden pencil. We had to endure fillers for ten years only to ultimately have to deal with the same mindless, boring, uneventful bullshit. There has only been one episode that I've liked so far in the Shippuuden and that was the Itachi vs Naruto gang fight.
I was sadly disappointed with this episode because in the manga, Sakura and Chibi vs Sasori was fucking awesome and I couldn't wait for the animation when Sakura owns Sasori's puppet with a single punch. But it looked like they took a guy with Down's Syndrome and gave him a pencil and said, "Try to finish in five minutes."
Don't pin this on Kishimoto. He's an artist, we don't need him rushing his manga and ruining the story just so the anime can be produced. The anime is independent and he has no control over it's pacing or elaboration, as far as we know. Get a grip, get a life.

Basically, the problem is this.
There are 3 methods to keep a series from catching up with the manga.
1. Have lots of terrible studio-written sidestories. We call these "fillers".
2. Take the episodes that are within the studio, and stretch them out awkwardly to make a chapter fill an entire episode.
3. Have the series take time off, or start releasing sporadically.
The thing is, a series only needs to do one of these things to keep from catching up to the manga.
Right now, Naruto is doing all three.
They already bought themselves 2 years of time with awful fillers, but now they are also stretching episodes and releasing bi-weekly.
It's too much, and its not nessecary. The whole reason we suffered through the fillers is so we could have another hundred+ episodes made they way they were meant to, and released regularly.
If they are gonna stretch things out, wait until they actually catch up. If they're gonna release non-weekly, they need to stop stretching things out.
Pick a method and stick with it! Then at least we know HOW our series is gonna be made to suck, and we can start learning to accept it without crying too much!
Blooth24, i rather go through fillers again than have each episode dragged out.
So one day when I get old and decide to watch all of Naruto again, I can enjoy every second of the anime
I think the anime producers got wise to your viewing tactics. It would be too easy for people to stop watching long periods of fillers, and sporadic broadcasts means people might miss an episode and lose interest, thus the studio loses advertising revenue. By mixing the three methods, they can trick you and keep you watching. I think we revealed too much on these forums, and sealed our own fates.

They just need to release anime like TV shows. Release a new season yearly or something like that.Originally Posted by Animeniax
Actually, they sort of did. The fillers is the break (bad way to break), and then Shippuuden is the new season.
The Japanese have weird broadcasting schedules period. Most of their dramas run for 9 to 11 episodes only. I don't think they use a system for sweeps and seasons like we do in the states, though I can't say for sure.
I vote for the normal pacing of episodes, then chunks of filler in between. However, I can see why the studios won't do this again: they lost too many viewers during the filler times. Remember in the special episode 205 (?), Sakura says "we'll get all of our viewers back". So they learned their lesson from fillers, and now they'll use this slow pacing to keep viewers and extend the material. Unfortunately, they will end up losing viewers anyway because people will stop caring. It's a lose lose situation for us all.

I don't look forward to Naruto like I used to. I think a better idea would be for US, the viewers, to take a self imposed break from the anime, wait for like at least 15 episodes to build up and then come back and watch the show. That way it would dull the pain of watching people just stand around and talking crap, and we might actually get to see some action in one sitting.
I like how Sasori just stand (or sits/lies depending on his position inside that dollthing) and waits for Sakura and the old she-geezer to talk things out, especially since being made to wait for things is quite high on his 'Things i really f-ing hate' list, as Deidara pointed out a few times.. just lol
Also, props to Naruto diving straight into a cliffwall...dude, awesome move!
It's all part of the plan, it's called "how can we stretch the series far enough without breaking it"
They decided to make him screw up even more, talk even more, be politically correct by saying he will be saving (?) a dead guy that only recently stopped killing people for fun, even more!
So that fly into the rock cliff thing was all part of it. It gave them time to think of a funny for the next episode ...
I think this is a good idea and I've already sort of started on my own. I have yet to download episode 20 and will wait a few weeks until I do.Originally Posted by DB_Hunter
