There absolutely no way Tobi is going to get hit or even injured. I'd think this will the time we find out Tobi is not exactly who he appears to be (not necessarily Obito but that's still a possibility). Tobi is going to save Sasuke and Sasuke is going to be like "who ARE you?!?". Either that or Sasuke finds himself alone wondering how he somehow managed to escape the blast. It will be inferred that Tobi saved him even if Tobi is either nowhere to be found or appears for a few panels, says some hinting words to Sasuke, and mysteriously takes his leave.

Looks like Deidara is going to self-destruct afterall. What interests me the most is how Sasuke is going to escape. I'm thinking Sasuke won't be able to escape. He uses the rest of his chakra to do a Chidori shield or some defensive move to block the impact as much as he can.

Interesting take. But I think it's a clone of him. Either that or he'll be the most injured in the series he's ever been, but I think it's a clone working for him.

Interesting, but it felt stretched.like, pages 7-10 could have been fewer pages and conveyed the same information. Sasuke's method of surviving this is sure to cause plenty of angst. But I think the Tobi saving him theory would be the most interesting, since it would create a new thread to follow once this arc is over.

All this talk of Sasuk getting saved by Tobi got me thinking. There's is one way he would save him, or atleast mildy want to. If it is infact Obito, then i'm guessing he knows Sasuke is his family in one way or another(possibly a distant cousin or uncle)Causing him to want to stay alive and be prepard to fight Itachi. Or simply sympathy as a family member.

Pretty lame chapter, in my opinion: it took forever to come out, and nothing happened which wasn't already assumed earlier. (We all knew he would kamikaze eventually.) Now we have to wait for the next chapter, to see how Sasuke escapes. Think he'll use that "other" strategy he hinted at? Maybe it was a strategy on how to elude explosions, if he couldn't disarm them with chidori?

I suspect his 'other' method may be the same thing Oro told him not to use when he faced Naruto way back at the end of the second post time skip arc.

As to Deidara's explosion range, I would think someone of his skill level knows the effect of his skills, even the one's he has only worked out in theory but not actually tested. He probably knows that with the amount of power he put into the jutsu and the way he set it up it should expand at least 10 km from ground zero based on the physics (or art if you will) of the design.

Probably. Because all he did was send a chidori attack through those snake-like things Deidara shot at him. It's funny: Deidara has predicted Sasuke's depleted chakra pool several times now, and Sasuke always seems to have enough for one more chidori. What makes this time any different?

Assuming this fight is over now, it was pretty good...but if it made Sasuke extremely exhausted after taking out Deidara, I wonder if he even stands a chance against Itachi at this point? (Remember, Itachi > Deidara from flashback) Im curious how the other 3 teammates of his will help in his plan to assassinate Itachi...


If Naruto and his group didnt sense or hear any explosions before, he definately should have seen/heard this 10km explosion......if Kishi makes it like nothing happened with the Naruto team..its going to be retarded

Well, since the entire Konoha group started searching within a 5 Km radius of where they started, and Sakura caught up with Karin shortly after she left Sasuke, we can assume that they are fighting somewhere within that range. And.....if the explosion covers 10 Km, wouldn't they all get killed, since they could not possibly be any more than 10 Km away (the diameter of the circle)? Or am I reading too much into this?

Anyway, I'm just going to assume that Deidara is a lot stronger now than he was when he fought Itachi; after all, he learned to counter basic sharingan genjutsu, and even developed a few strategies to fight Itachi. Still, I agree that Sasuke has a long way to go.

What if during the 3-year timejump Kakashi finds Obito? And then 5th's plan was to use Obito as a spy? So he joins Akatsuki as Tobi. Like that one movie "The Departed"!!!!!

no. But we got an explanation on how his heart thievery came to be. And I think that answers Kitsunes question better. I think Kishi will explain something about him if he dies.



What I find interesting is, if Tobi is Obito, and he does save Sasuke. Will Kishi write something with him explaining why he saved him, or will we just get saved and then Tobi will just bail while he's saying something like, "In time, you'll know who I am".
