I watched this a couple days ago. I liked it.
Ok since the second season of KNGE is around the corner, Iv been hearing a lot about School days. Iv heard some good things about it. Anyone recommend it? Anything about I should know before I even start it? Im asking this because im trying to avoid another depressing anime. Iv had enough of anymore KNGE like animes for a while, despite it being a really good anime. From the look of this one it looks pretty light. So what do u guys think?

Stop watching Schoold Days before the last 2 episodes and you could say so :PFrom the look of this one it looks pretty light.
Well, considering we just thoroughly discussed many of the aspects of KgNE for a few pages, but MFauli and shinta went at it (with the rest of us pitching in) for about 100 posts after the series was over, I wouldn't describe School Days as "light."
The first 4 or 5 episodes are pretty shallow and really boring, but then the series picks up. Considerably. If you can make it through the initial episodes, you'll be in for a treat. But don't forget about those either, as the bunch of us found in our often hostile discussion, there's a lot more hidden in those episodes than it appears.
If you want light, try something else.

Hm I guess ill pass on this one, Iv heard its actually pretty twisted. I really dont feel like watching something that will make me go WTF???? later. I know its kinda lame, but right now im into some shallow mindless humor. Probably thats why im watching Gintama right now :P

LOL, that's completely not representative of the series, but it looks hilarious. Who doesn't love loli senshi? The Valentine's OVA was also pretty humorous without actually addressing the true tone of the series either.

NOTE: This is OVA is either a prequel or an alternate retelling of the timeline in the anime, it doesn't seem to take place within the same continuity as the original but it could, potentially have happened near the time where the anime began. Also it is heavily based on absurdity humor and light moe, not relationships, cheating, depression, betrayal, and murder.

sorry for bumping, but i just got a friend to watch the whole show in 2 days, and just now i watched the ending scene again myself.
I havent changed my mind and would reply the same as before in the thread, but watching the murder-scene again ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Ky7idFdWWI ) i think....well, one way to see it is that Itouīs simply in pain by being stabbed.
But imo, you can really see it in his facial expression after being stabbed, just HOW pure and innocent of a boy he actually was/is.
Thereīs no arguing that he was an "asshole in actions" from middle to end of the show. But this complete non-understanding he shows when being stabbed - as if that cannot be true, its unthinkable for him - reveals his true personality; which is pure, innocent, or to put it more negative, naive and dumb.
We talked about how Katsura was the number #1 victim in the show, being a typical romance-novel-influenced girl, then being messed with.
I think, Itou is exactly as much a victim...the difference being that heīs being pushed into a less victim-like position than Katsura.
But maybe itīs just the music in combination with someone getting killed that made me sad enough to post this .P
Anyway, this anime will always be remembered by me, really unique.
