Yeah. I agree. They must have purposefully kept the possible shocking effects of Amuro's swimming skills in reserve for the next episode. After all, Amuro already gave Maaya a shock in this episode with her more voluptuous boobs.

It's been some time since we've seen the sunny poolside of Umisho, the shining water, its glistening beaches, the pleasant swell of...the waves.

Pretty good episode, especially the part when Shizuoka wanted to buy the horn thing.

Autumn might be upon us but it doesn't mean the swimming club would disperse:

The rivalry with the other school was pretty funny. Shizuoka falling asleep at the start line, only to make a perfect entry and win by a good margin, was my favorite of the bunch. Worried about, of all things, her precious undergarments.
Amuro staring at the other school's captain the entirety of the race was just strange. The result of the punishment game was just too strange. She didn't even seem to care what happened to her, she just wanted attention one way or the other. Ho ho ho ho ho!

Yeah, it was a funny episode. I wonder if there will ever be a contest where Amuro would really need to go all out. But on the other hand, we still haven't seen Amuro vs Maaya, which might be the really interesting "boss fight" saved for the best possible moment.

The essential thing to remember is that it was practice that brought the victory in the first place and without continuous practice no future victories will head your way:

Sanae's yuri rendition of the swim club's founding was hilarious. Plus it makes Orizuka's "true" version that much funnier.
As for episode 10, the Breast Massage Alliance was one of the dumbest subplots I've seen in a while, which made it pretty funny. Even if her personality is only to be a little perverted herself, Shizuoka has to be my favorite character. Dynamite body and Gurren Lagann Nia's voice...

Yeah. Normally I'm not the greatest fan of history lessons, but the one in #9 was just hilarious. You don't really see stuff like that too often in anime.
Episode 10 made me wonder once more if they are going to build anything more concrete between Amuro and Kaname. All the elements are surely there. And Maaya can't really form any triangles there because Kaname seems to pretty much dislike her, at least in a detached manner, due to the torment she granted him in the past.

Episode 9 was definitely my favorite in the series. On top of the humor, I'm still not sure how much of Sanae's story was real after the last scene (names in the pool). It's kinda like The Usual Suspects.

I thought the ending was a bit surprising. Amuro is too "childish" to do that.

The ending was somewhat strange altogether. What was it, even? A slideshow of future events. It just didn't really do the trick for me.
Still, it was an enjoyable show. I'm glad Amuro and Kaname ended up together.

the ending was more of a preview for a possible season 2, i mean it even said "the stage is set for the inter highs", plus the manga is still ongoing, latest volume was released 3 weeks ago or so.
But yeah great last ep of this season.
