The first episode was released in Japan yesterday June 8th, and I was wondering if anybody knows if any fansub groups will be subbing this?

I hope so.

Nah if im correct it will be an OVA. There will be four OVA's
"On June 20, 2006, Namco announced an official OVA (anime) for Tales of Symphonia, divided into four episodes. The first episode is planned to come out in stores in Japan on June 8, 2007, the second on August 10; the release dates of the third and fourth episodes have yet to be announced. It will be directed by Haruo Tonosaki (director of 2x2=Shinobuden) and feature character designs by Akira Matsushima (Rurouni Kenshin OVAs.)[1]" Direct Qoute from Wikipedia

Apparently FormulaSubs is planning to pick it up.
Edit: The raw for episode 1 came out on 6/8, and a sub was just released.

The creepy name of the group alone is enough to prevent me from downloading this gem of an anime. :P
If you don't know who Razor Ramon Hard Gay is, that's your loss heh.
Yeah, me too. I wanted to dl from them because the subbing of Nodame Cantabile seems to be on hold with the other fansubbing groups, but the name put me off. I'll wait for Formula subs .
Wow that's fast.. Thanks!@@@ Downloading now.Originally Posted by animus
EDIT: just finished watching it... they changed a few things from the game and of course left some stuff out due to time... i wonder why they didn't just make it into a 24 episode series or something and include all the details.
anyways.. it's alright i guess...

It certainly won't make much of a story with only four episodes like this.
Well, what comes to the contents themselves, it did give very similar vibes to Scrapped Princess. Which is not a bad thing as I liked that series. And it was very nice to see, for once, tactics where in a 4 to 1 fight three guys engage the enemy from one direction and last dude finishes him with a backstab. Far too often they fight one to one with the remaining just stupidly watching their comrades get killed one by one.
Still, based on how Lloyd acted (or rather didn't act but only stood and stared like an idiot) after the half-elf was incapacitated, I think that 4:1 tactic might have been a random bright spot that won't be repeated.
Episode 1 - KuroNeko
For those of you that were too scared off by HardGay group name.
Episode 2 - Formula
Actually it was released already a couple of months ago, but I failed to watch it back then. Now, without anything more worthwhile to watch, I decided to have a look. And I have to say this show jumps around more than a rabbit who found IFHTT's cache of pot. They didn't even show how the first trial fight was finished, for christ's sake... You would think that was something momentous. And you never know where they are or where they are really going because they skip all the traveling. Introducing who they are fighting and when? Give me a break. Irrelevant data...
They really should have given this at least 12 episodes. It's so ridiculous this way it's nothing but pure unintentional comedy.
No kidding. Considering how long the game was, they could have made it into a series rather than what... 4 OVAs or something?Originally Posted by Kraco
