The first episode was released in Japan yesterday June 8th, and I was wondering if anybody knows if any fansub groups will be subbing this?

Nah if im correct it will be an OVA. There will be four OVA's
"On June 20, 2006, Namco announced an official OVA (anime) for Tales of Symphonia, divided into four episodes. The first episode is planned to come out in stores in Japan on June 8, 2007, the second on August 10; the release dates of the third and fourth episodes have yet to be announced. It will be directed by Haruo Tonosaki (director of 2x2=Shinobuden) and feature character designs by Akira Matsushima (Rurouni Kenshin OVAs.)[1]" Direct Qoute from Wikipedia

Apparently FormulaSubs is planning to pick it up.
Edit: The raw for episode 1 came out on 6/8, and a sub was just released.

The creepy name of the group alone is enough to prevent me from downloading this gem of an anime. :P
Wow that's fast.. Thanks!@@@ Downloading now.Originally Posted by animus
EDIT: just finished watching it... they changed a few things from the game and of course left some stuff out due to time... i wonder why they didn't just make it into a 24 episode series or something and include all the details.
anyways.. it's alright i guess...

Episode 2 - Formula
Actually it was released already a couple of months ago, but I failed to watch it back then. Now, without anything more worthwhile to watch, I decided to have a look. And I have to say this show jumps around more than a rabbit who found IFHTT's cache of pot. They didn't even show how the first trial fight was finished, for christ's sake... You would think that was something momentous. And you never know where they are or where they are really going because they skip all the traveling. Introducing who they are fighting and when? Give me a break. Irrelevant data...
They really should have given this at least 12 episodes. It's so ridiculous this way it's nothing but pure unintentional comedy.
No kidding. Considering how long the game was, they could have made it into a series rather than what... 4 OVAs or something?Originally Posted by Kraco
