I don't read the manga either, but it's been said in the anime like 5 times now that Aizen is going to need several months to prepare and they're all "we have to train for the uncoming battle this winter." The new schoolyear just started at the beginning of this arc, which was like a few days ago. So if the battle is in the winter, it's months from now.
