that comic is strange... 80's style indeed...

i suppose you've got more of it on deviant? is there any show or genre or style that you base your stuff off of?

Err..... none that I can recall, things just turn out the way they do.

Also, to answer your other question:

Those are what I have of chapter 2 up online, there are more at my DevArt site of chapter 1.

P.S. I'll update this post the next time I upload a page!

Seems like Zn is a fan of The Dungeons and Dragons tv show.

Clearly you're pretty good at shading and stuff, but I honestly can't stand the way you're drawing your faces or bodies/poses. They're extremely flat compared to everything else in your pictures. Do you ever practice working on proportion and depth or practice them from different points of view?

Edit: lulz. Looks like you'll have a nice template if you wanna color these.

Well, at least someone reconises the show.

To explain the way I'm having to do this, chapter 1 is entirely my own thinking, it what happens before they go to the amusement park(which nobody ever knew). Chapter 2 is essentially the intro sequence of the first series, but with the additions of my own doing, to at least make it flow better for the pages. I've changed a few things around, but much of C2 is as it appears in the series, this is as a fan favor.(as in to jog peoples memories) Hope that last bit answers your question... a little, it's the missing pages that would show you my twists better.

I can't show much of chapter 1, as it contains nudity, mild nudity, and gratuitous female panty shots. But at least the first page doesn't: http://img65.imageshack.us/img65/6189/page01pp1.jpg (rather embarrassing to show this page, seems so crappy now)

So, that's not a problem unless the pages contain actual sexual acts, but based on your description, that's not the case.

Well, after seeing that screenshot XanBcoo posted, I'm not sure what to think of this. In the end dojins are, of course, fanart based on something, but somehow I had hoped this was all from your own head. But naturally you did what you thought was the best way to go.

No, no scenes of sexual acts, just a frame showing bare breasts, and a page of panty shots!

The characters, the intro sequence, the general theme, no, is not my own.... oh yeh, I just read back, I only posted the page and said nothing else, my bad. The whole thing is based on the show from the 80s(the whole point), which I should have explained on the first posting of that page, but after chapter 2, it will all be down to my story telling and my artistic values.(asides from the issues that will be written by a few members of the fan forum)

Yes the pages aren't as good as the others, I was brand-new at this type of thing at the time(Manga drawing)

I should point out, that I was never trained to draw Manga's of any kind, plus, I only have 6 really old Manga's, so not much research material. I was trained as an animator, so this type of thing was and in many ways still is, very alien to me!

    *EDIT*

Just realised.... even without me telling anyone the title of the source series, you figured it out by the images on the pages, which is one of my ultimate aims. So thanks for confirming the things I was after.

i like it quite a bit, especially the top portion. The bottom panel seems to be a little... I dunno, maybe you could get the surrounding dragons to be a little more distinctive from the surrounding fire? It's hard to tell where the dragons end and the fire/background begins. Well, it's not that tough, but maybe some more shading would help.

It was kinda the point of have it disorientating! I guess a little more distiction couldn't go amiss.

    Here is the missing page:

I sorted the post again, so the order is now right... and makes sense finally

  15. #35
Just uploaded a new page and I've sorted out the previous post to include it in the line up.

Finally, this issue is nearly up and loaded, then I can get to show the scenes I created in issue 2 ("What Tomorrow Brings")

more pretty good stuff. The dialogue could be a bit better, but I do suppose it's right on the money if this is intended for a young reader group. especially like the two monsters at the beginning of the ride.

I'm having to juggle the speech of the original opening sequence as well as incorporate it in with my own text. This part of the chapter is closely linked with that sequence so I have to include the original speech, but the start of this issue, it's all the text I came up with myself and gives a good example of how the speech will be portrayed for the rest of the coming series... well, when I upload it all you will see

Weell, another page is up, can be seen here: http://zentron.deviantart.com/art/JO...ge-08-63106138 or in context in the other post.

Two big pics for this page, I didn't think two medium size and other frames from the next page would work together as well, so here is the result... and yes, there is some knicker flashing going on too
