I think all this is easily solvable if they stop employing this stupid tactic of showing two fights at once. As soon as emotion and tension starts to build in one fight the switch away from it to another. Maybe they are trying to produce the cliffhanger effect, but it sure isn't working.
agreed, they should stop this silly switch between fights thingy -.-
is it bcuz they afraid of catching up to the manga again they make it so slow lol?
scuze me for this bad english, ima kinda drunk :>
Regarding why Itachi may not be able to use Mangekyou Sharingan on Naruto... it could be that Naruto is fighting a Kage Bunshin of Itachi. Imagine if Kage Bunshin's could use Mangekyou Sharingan... the whole ninja world would be screwed.
lol well isnt that possible since each kage bunshin shares the amount of chakra equally amongst them selves, ie naruto with his insane chakra can make almost a duplicate of himself that can do the same jutsus and everything :O
As I'm growing to get used to the slow pace of naruto shippuuden, I think this episode was quite decent. The story progress was a bit small but we got to see some nice Gai action scenes I'd say.
I think it's pretty obvious that he can't use Mangekyou Sharingan due to the fact that he reserves a lot of chakra to suck away Gaara's power.Originally Posted by DB_Hunter
I guess he was only able to do this because Gai diverted Kisame with his gate release.Originally Posted by Uzumaki
At least this episode will shut up those that said that Naruto was very stupid and saw Itachi to the eyes last episode.
...Naruto used his brain, that's good. The Genjutsu was pretty cool, so was Neji finally acting like someone deserving of Jounin rank... Gai no-nonsensely smacking the water clone, priceless. Everything else? Pretty lackluster.
I don't want to jump on the hate train, but I was pretty disappointed with this episode too. Like others have said, there's just nothing inspiring emotion when I watch Gai release his gates or even Naruto break the Genjutsu. It's very hard to say if animation or music or what exactly has failed, but the excitement just isn't the same... Well, it's still sorta entertaining, and I want to see what happens with the story... Guess it's just best to hope for something better next time.
Humans are different from animals. We must die for a reason. Now is the time for us to regulate ourselves and reclaim our dignity. The one who holds endless potential and displays his strength and kindness to the world. Only mankind has God, a power that allows us to go above and beyond what we are now, a God that we call "possibility".
I loved Gai's backhand nunchuck strike into water clone. It just amused me. It's like "Haha, sneaking up behind you with clone!" *bap*
Yeah, we're such douchebags for not being manga readers and knowing that already.Originally Posted by RyougaZell
And on the subject of Naruto and stupid. I kept picturing this hypothetical exchange between Naruto and Jiraya when teaching Naruto to release Genjitsu.
J: "Okay, you need to shut off all the chakra to your brain."
N: "WAY ahead of you."
