This was a decent episode. I felt like there was even a little less flashbacks and recaps. It didn't really conclude anything yet, but it had good scenes and lines otherwise.

Well, it got all the Strawhats on a boat they can escape on.
And then presumably killed off all the other characters...
Also, interesting that apparenly Luffy doesn't need much Downtime between 2nd Gears.

although when we first saw him in that form when he cooled of he needed food but i guess when something is important even luffy can say no to some things

He always needs food, so that's a light indication of any post-predicament.

well kraco you do have a point :-) i wonder if luffy beats lucci in the next episode or the fight will continue for another couple of episodes

What would be an awsome way to win would be if he used 3rd Gear WHILE he's still in 2nd Gear.
