    Game: FF7 - Crisis Core

This game had been announced years ago.. but there wasn't any real info or media on it for the longest time. I searched the forums here and didn't see a thread... sooo..... here's the trailer from the '07 Jump Festa. Really nice looking for PSP, looks on par with the KH series.

    Crisis Core trailer

Release date is still "TBA 2007" but I wouldn't expect it any earlier than LATE Q4, if it's out this year at all.

Yes! Finally some decent media/info about the game, I've been waiting for it. Looks great.
This is the reason I'm probably gonna save money for a PSP.

Looks like a good game, but I don't know if this and FFT are enough to get me to buy a PSP.

Look good, but too bad for me it is on the PSP. (Can't they just make a home console/PC version of it with better graphics?)
So basically this game is like.. what came before the FF7 story that we all know?

What's with Square-Enix releasing FF7 storyline games with only the obscure characters? First we have Dirge of Cerebus, which follows the story of a completely optional character, and now they're making a game with Zack in it.

The game itself looks pretty decent, and the graphics are amazing for PSP, but... meh... talk about milking an idea for all its worth...

I agree is being milked too much, but hey, as long as is not AS bad as DoC

Actually, I don't think Zack should be considered an "obscure" character at all. In fact, if it wasn't for him, we probably wouldn't've had an FF7 in the first place. Wasn't Cloud, our protagonist, confused about his personality with this very same man? Zack is the character I was most interested about, more than anyone else because it was his person who Cloud's journey in VII was based on. And now with the upcoming game we get to learn more about his life, the guy who actually had a major part in FF7 without taking much of the credit.

I do agree, however, that they went a little too far in milking the franchise with DoC. That or they could've just done the entire game better. But I am most excited about Crisis Core; to finally get a glance at how the first game came about.

I've pre-ordered it an expect it to be shipped out on the 14th. Although I don't speak much Japanese, I can still bask in its glory and drool over how amazing it will be.

This is basically my only current reason to get a PSP aside from being able to play PS1 games on it

I've been trying desperately to remind my brother to get his PSP to me from his girlfriend's brother, but he always keeps on forgetting or misses the chance to get it back from him. D: And I'm really worried that I won't have it before the game arrives. At this point, I don't even know if he's gonna get it back at all, which means I may have to get my own PSP. But I definitely would now since I have a friggin' game coming for it.

I have PSP, the main reasons I got it for was 1. Crisis Core, 2. MGS-Portable Ops, and 3. ability to play PSX games on it. Aside from these reasons, the other games are not very up to standard imo.

The ISO is already up, damn that was fast.

So, I just finished Crisis Core, and that seriously had to be the saddest ending in video game history. I was crying my eyes out.

Crisis Core sold 350,000 copies on the first day. It should hopefully be the second PSP title to reach 1mil copies in Japan.

I'm guessing the first would be Monster Hunter Freedom 2, which sold more copies on the first day than CC even.
