Although I don't even remember the last time some fool's cellphone would have started to ring in the middle of a movie but all in all it could be good for theaters and other such places. But hardly for homes when it would render your own phone useless. That's a pretty strong point unless you want your home to be a total bastion of peaceful silence and isolation (with no brainwashing waves from outer space).

Besides, in addition to being special paint (either specially made or requiring additions) if some Japanese institution or company owns the patent, it would be too expensive anyway for anybody other than government, companies, or st33v.

It's going to army usage. they're going to paint all the secret conferences rooms in that silly thing.
instead of reminding everyone to take out their battery ("no, I can't take out my battery, it's a mater of national security..." "we're all officers here, you twat!") they just throw that thing, and problem solved.

army people don't understand words and orders, and need someone else to set things as facts before they understand.
