I used to like using IE also, but I got sick of all the ads and popups. Annoyed, I set out on a search, for a better way to surf the interwebs. My search led me to Firefox + Adblock Plus, and I haven't looked back since.

I switched to Opera completely after FF3 came out, because I hated some of the changes they made (the way their Awesome Bar fuctions) but to be honest, it was the fanbase that really pushed me over. I'd say a large majority of the changes FF3 made appeared in Opera first.

But you'll never convince the most hardcore of FF fans of that. FF, "always does it first, always does it better...etc." My other issue is that the majority of benchmark testing with FF is done without all the Extensions. The issue is that to achieve the same functionality of a lot of other browsers out there, FF needs those extensions.

Getting ads back took a little getting used to, but since I see them at work all the time in IE6, it's not that big of a deal. Opera has manual ad-block built it, so I can block the really obnoxious ads, and you can always edit your hosts file or install a blacklist to Opera's blocker.

FF doesn't hold a candle to Opera's built in script killers. FF needs NoScript to even compete.

My Opera-fanboy rant aside, Microsoft is supposed to have an emergency fix out for the issue by today or a little bit later. No one can compete with MS's abilities to patch vulernabilities. They have a good dev team, and a ton of experience...heh.

Store refuses to make birthday cake for child named Adolf Hitler

The kid's sister's middle name is Aryan Nation. Wow.

Seriously, what were their parents thinking to name their children like that!?

I believe they are Neo-Nazis...guessing from the names of their children and their other cake requests. The third kid is named after an SS officer.

Apparently...very liberal neo-nazis, since, "Campbell said he was raised not to avoid people of other races but not to mix with them socially or romantically. But he said he would try to raise his children differently."

    Now I am deeply confused.

while completely disgusting and racist, Aryan Nation does have a good sound to it. I'd date a girl like that, if she weren't a crazed neo-nazi. actually, if she was hot enough, I'd date her anyway.

Hey, they support the whole Nazi thing yet their son, named Adolf Hitler, is not blue eyed. o_O

alright...They should be arrested for child abuse or something. I mean, when they registered their child's name, didn't anyone ask questions?

I like the sound of that. it should be everywhere IMO.

I mean, we should try and forget about the past since it holds painful memories for people. I can't believe there was someone so extreme as to name their child Adolf Hitler.

    Just plain...disrespectful and rude.

Now seriously speaking, can they be arrested?

    in certain countries, yes.
Germany, Poland, Austria, Israel. all of those countries have laws against showing support of the nazi&neoNazi ideals.

I think that in the US, the same can be said about a child named Joseph Stalin, and supporting the ideals of Communism.

Well, first of all, that would violate freedom of speech in the US; so that probably wouldn't happen. Also, I doubt most US citizens even know who Stalin is. I personally am not against the idea of communism; but only if its executed properly, which is apparently VERY difficult. Anyway, yea that wouldn't offend anyone unless they're Ukrainian, from the former USSR, or like really old.

Communism is an ideal with a fatal flaw. Socialism seems to be the working variant.

The shoe throwing incident is ever so popular, and in fact, so popular, that a flash game was made from it:

    The Flash Game News

At the time of writing, the virtual President Bush has been struck in the face by 21 million shoes, the site indicates.
Wow, that was a good laugh.

Hitler himself didn't have either Blue eyes or Blond Hair.

Obscenity over-rules freedom of speech. If it's offensive, it's out.

I don't think I know someone (within reason) who doesn't know who Stalin is <.<. I'd consider it common knowledge. and Communism it's self isn't bad at all. it's actually good. it's just the sell-outs you gotta worry about. Che Guevara ftw?

awesome flash game bro. It.. it came out so fast D:. wait.. was there ever a pretzel choking game made?

Yeah, I thought about that too. It's so strange isn't it?

Oh, I saw that shoe video on TV. Bush's face was PRICELESS. it was seriously like this: D:

Can someone sum up the history of communism for me? I just know the definition for it(and it's mascot Che Guevara. Seriously. He's on every bag here. They even have lamps made resembling his picture), but I don't know much about the history.

not interesting and quirky enough, FAIL!.

Did you know that the aryan race master example specimen (the guy they used as an example of the aryan body ideal) was actually a Jew, and that hitler knew about it and approved the usage of him as propaganda material?

I saw a documentary about anti-gay-marriage evangelical christian groups earlier, do these people even know what sort of crap they're sprouting?
people said that the bible insisted that marriage was between one man and one woman. which is basically ignoring just about any figure in the bible. and then there was someone who said that gays are dangerous to the human race as explained by theory of evolution, he quickly added "in which I don't believe, of course!", just to make himself look even more of an shithead.
seriously, do these people know how they're getting sheeped around by right wing extremists?

Both the New and Old Testaments unequivocally condemn homosexuality. If you are a Christian and consider the Bible authoritative, you can only treat homosexuals as normal people through cognitive dissonance.

    EDIT:

To the two passive-aggressive pussies who neg repped me condescendingly, I hope you neg repped someone who dismissed hundreds of years of sociopolitical thought with blithe catchphrases he probably picked up from his dad. Watch how easy it is to do with capitalism, for example: Capitalism is an untenable system because the theory of free-market economics ignores the obvious historical tendency of the powerful to ask for and receive protection for their momentary privilege.

Communism like Anarchy have one fatal flaw - they work under exactly specified conditions. Communism where everyone wants the same, and Anarchy only everyone is nice guy. Otherwise it's bad and totally chaotic.
