btw, wtf was the deal with the giant bulb head when baki was giving orders after gara's defeat. why the fuck can't these aritsts do that scene properly?

seconded. animation was shoddy throughout the episode and rife with repeats. Watching Deidara's bird constantly fly around with that shitty ass half-hearted flapping and no dynamic movement at all was horrible. Oddly, the best animation comes with the final anti-air spear firing from the Sand's side, at 23:24. There's great detail on Deidara's face and his movement is so fluid. The arrow and dodge are so quick, and then the zoom into his eye and the explosion and debris flying is without a doubt the best animation in the entire episode. But why just use it there?

edit - ah, i see, thanks assertn. animeaniax, i obvsiously was just using that one thing because it struck me as looking so awful. and i don't care if it is in the manga or not. if it looks stupid, it looks stupid.

It was a little boring because it felt like nothing happend. Gaara got defeated, Naruto eats ramen and gets used to his former life again. But all seems moving so slow to me.

Don't know if Deidra really is that much above Gaare. Deidara's plan was good no doubt but also very risky since he used up all of his clay

sums up my feelings quite nicely.

also think Kank's attacking them was a stupid move.
