Mike: lol asians
Scott: lol
Scott: no it's not
I think the episode was OK;
I liked how the Gaara fight ended, but it's still hard to believe that Deidara actually planned to lose his arm. Guess he can get a new arm somehow, either making one himself or there is someone in the group that have medical skills or know some secret jutsu.
I could stand the Konoha parts. Plus for couple cuteness, I just go :3 everytime I see them together. You probably know who I mean, but in the case you misunderstood, it's not Naruto and Iruka.
It would probably be hard for Kankuro to surprise them, as some mentioned the terrain isn't the best for an ambush. And Sasori noticed him (it seems Deidara didn't), and Kankuro simply had to fight.
And yes, the sand ninjas are pathetic. And here I thought they trained even harder than the leaf ninjas, but it seems the former Gaara team are the only strong ones.
Ah, I laughed at bulb head, but cried when the next "one hour special" was announced.
I wasn't under the impression that Deidara planned for Gaara's sand to grab his arm....
He was merely taking advantage of the situation as it occurred.

hmmmm the nail is an akatsuki thing, not really his personal style, and he did some good strategy since 2 episodes ago proved he cant win with raw power, you know... strategy... what ninjas doOriginally Posted by redcat

I wouldn't be surprised if some member of Akatsuki could install a new hand for Deidara. Unless he's a genuine nutcase, he would be a bit more worried about losing a limb, if there's no chance of getting back what he lost. In that sense it wasn't such a flaw in his strategy. And if he really is an honest lunatic, then his plan for capturing Gaara was just fine even with the price he paid.
You've already made your personal opinion on Deidara quite clear in your earlier posts. This one here adds nothing to the discussion. I'd also appreciate it if you tuned down the gay bashing a bit.
Warned
masa
he's still a queer
Of course he is.
Episode was slow but not disasterous. Animation was good, especially in the second episode. Can't wait to see Kank vs Sasori.
Episode was OK.
The Konoha and Naruto part was a bit boring, but I wont complain about. Gaara part was sad. Poor Gaara and all those people who cared about him. I really cant wait for Kankuro and Sasori's fight. It is going to be really interesting with Kankuro's new techniques.
lol i can't believe kankuro was dumb enough to start a fight. why didn't he just follow them back to their base?
follow them back to their base? Two glaring things:
1) Who knows how long they'll keep putting Gaara's life on hold for
2) The whole sand expedition force couldn't do jack even if they found the enemy hideout. Kankuro needs them like he needs to stop and resuscitate roadkill.

3) What if the rest of the akatsuki are at their base o.oOriginally Posted by Jeff_from_MD

Considering there's more akatsuki than bijuu, I'd say this accomplishment finalizes deidara's contribution to the group.

Aren't there 9 tailed beasts, I know there are nine akatsuki.
From episode 135
Kisame(1), SPOILER(2), SPOILER(3), Itachi(4), Deidara(5), His master(6), SPOILER(7), The guy that came out of the ground in episode 134?(8), MASSIVE SPOILER(9).
er yeah......thats what I meant...... >_<
Also, I believe the guy that you think is 8 is actually 9

I was pleasantly surprised. Liked the added anime touches like the balistas combined with explosive tags serving as AA against diadara and the little present Sasori left behind for Kankuro and company really nice little touches that help extend things would while still being true to the story.
As for Diadara's lost arm. Keep in mind he's apart of the akatsuki, a collection of the most bat shit-crazy and badass missing nins within the naruto universe. I'm sure one of them is some sort of uber medic who can some how make him a new one.
seconded. animation was shoddy throughout the episode and rife with repeats. Watching Deidara's bird constantly fly around with that shitty ass half-hearted flapping and no dynamic movement at all was horrible. Oddly, the best animation comes with the final anti-air spear firing from the Sand's side, at 23:24. There's great detail on Deidara's face and his movement is so fluid. The arrow and dodge are so quick, and then the zoom into his eye and the explosion and debris flying is without a doubt the best animation in the entire episode. But why just use it there?Originally Posted by Assassin

sums up my feelings quite nicely.Originally Posted by StillAlive
also think Kank's attacking them was a stupid move.

Humans are different from animals. We must die for a reason. Now is the time for us to regulate ourselves and reclaim our dignity. The one who holds endless potential and displays his strength and kindness to the world. Only mankind has God, a power that allows us to go above and beyond what we are now, a God that we call "possibility".
Can't you tell? The second half was done by a different studio =]Originally Posted by masamuneehs

You're upset about the big-head scene even though it is drawn the same way in the manga by Kishimoto?Originally Posted by masamuneehs
The animation was below average during the first half, but I was amazed at the quality of animation in the second half (better than usual for Naruto since episode 134). Looks like the animation for the next episode will be good too.
I liked pretty much the entire episode, including the Naruto visit to Ichiraku scenes. I didn't like how Ichiraku guy threatened to beat up Naruto for "complaining" about his ramen. Naruto would kick his ass and eat his organs with his next serving of ramen. I didn't like the Sand Village ninjas' ineptitude and lameness.
I really liked the second half of the episode. Even the little scene where Shikamaru and Temari see each other off was well done and added to the fleshing out of the Naruto world, as well as Kakashi's late night and late morning.
Well, I'd say there's about a 90% chance that there are 9 tailed beasts. But it's not been specifically stated.Originally Posted by Yukimura
Maybe there isn't a beast with each tail number, or maybe they don't stop at 9. Who can say at this point.
But yeah, I'd definatly guess that there's 9 beasts with tails going from 1-9.
I don't recall the exploding tags, but I'm pretty sure Sasori's trap was in the manga.Originally Posted by LobsterMagnet
The bulb head thing was Kishimoto trying to emulate a "Fish Eye" lens. Why he did this is beyond me. Usually skewed views such as fish eye or tilted angles are for action or to show someone is lying or evil. That frame was a stupid place to use such techinique.
