I'll assume this is legit, in which case, it's about damn time!
Downloading now~
<@Terra> he told me this, "man actually meeting terra is so fucking big", and he started crying. Then he bought me hot dogs
i thought they'd get farther then this since it was an hour long special. but they just used the whole time for one fight....i guess thats good in terms of anime vs manga progression, but still kinda annoying. Im looking forward to kankuro's fight more then i did garaa's.
btw, wtf was the deal with the giant bulb head when baki was giving orders after gara's defeat. why the fuck can't these aritsts do that scene properly?
torrent's not working for me....

It's legit...and it was ~60% disappointing. From the preview I know that the next hour long special will be even less entertaining, but this one really didn't excite me at all. The first half was interesting storywise but a lot of the animation just seemed weird. The second half just seemed like a bunch of wasted time (with the exception of the Kankuro chase which was alright).
Almost everything that happened in the Leaf village just seemed unnecessary, and it kept taking you away from the action in the Sand village. This ep, and my forecast of the next episodes looming mehness may induce me to actually drop this series from download ASAP status.

i was really looking forward to this episode but it was kind of boring. yukimura was right, everything in the leaf village was pretty pointless.
deidara's plan and execution showed how much above gaara he really is, especially since he revealed that he was trying to capture him without killing him.
the preview for the next episode looks pretty good. kankuro's fight with sasori looks interesting. but like the guy from the sand village said, if gaara was defeated by one, what chance does kankuro have against both of them.
well...deidara's moving on ahead.......plus he doesnt appear to have any more bombs either....
Man....I think they only covered like, 2 chapters in this ep..... >:|
However, I think maybe half the stuff with konoha was actually in the manga though.

Anyways
Seems not many are liking the current pace of the series. In my case I have liked it. I prefer they stretch scenes, trying to explain more, instead of 2 page fights (its an example, not that Gaara vs Deidara took 2 pages...). That and that I prefer this 'filler scenes' instead of the previous 80 filler eps.
I enjoyed it. Yes I did.
Even if they took an hour to show me about 10 minutes worth of stuff.
The Konoha stuff really doesn't bother me too much. It's nice that Naruto is having to reaclimate himself instead of just going "Back after 2 years! Time to go back to what I was doing like nothing happened!"
Aaaaaawww, can't they simply do a 30mins episode?!
I'm getting tired of alway having to wait 2 weeks just for some entertainment!
Other than that, the way gaara got defeated was lame.
Couldn't he just use the power of the Shukaku inside of him to beat the crap out of deidara?

What are the chances he even stands a chance 1v1 against the guy called "master" by the guy who defeated Gaara.Originally Posted by Mr. Roboto
It was an alright episode, and the slow and somewhat pointless Konoha parts didn't bother me that much. Even if this is Naruto, I don't need 100% action all the time. Like DE said, this could have been much better than Naruto just behaving as if he had never been away from the village. This gave the impression he really came back after a long while.
However, there were many Sand related things that bothered me. The biggest one was that just how lousy can the Sand village be? Or is this the reason why Orochimaru failed in everything but assassinating the Third? I mean, in this episode, aside from the very end, everybody but Gaara was totally useless in the Sand village. Are they really so bad ninjas? If it had been Konoha under attack, you can be sure it wouldn't have been just one ninja trying to defeat the attacker but multiple and from all directions. And why don't they even obey orders? "Don't touch the bodies!" "Ok. But I'll just help this one guy up, alright?" Wtf? That guy at least deserved to die.
And the other thing is Kankuro. If only he planned to get Gaara back, why did he attack like that? He should have planned an ambush and only rescue Gaara and run. Instead he comes out in the middle of a barren, plain desert seemingly with no attack plan, against a guy who just defeated Gaara, and another one of unknown powers. Jolly good thinking. Kishimoto should change his mushroom dealer.
well... what trap can you make in the middle of the desert?

Kankuro simply disregarded all his ninja training and orders given by his superiors. He was ordered to track them only, right up to their hideout.Originally Posted by Kraco
I'm sure there would have eventually appeared some suitable terrain formations: Large rocks, or something. He could have summoned his dolls there, and then attacked with a good surprise factor. It could have been enough to deal with the slow flying bird quickly, then distract the two dudes and hit the road with Gaara. Well, that's what would have seemed like an intelligent thing to do in my opinion.Originally Posted by UChessmaster
Well, even without the previous preview we would have known Kankuro is going to attack them. Too bad he indeed disregarded not only the orders but also training.Originally Posted by Munsu
If you haven't been watching the series lately (shippudden, not fillers) Gaara wanted to be respected, and to do so he supresses Shukaku's berserk mode.Originally Posted by BioAlien
Double episodes aren't made because the studio wants it. It goes in accordance to the tv station's schedule. They must have something big planned for next week since several series aren't airing.
And we haven't even reached golden week, when we again won't get episodes (late april, early may).
It was a little boring because it felt like nothing happend. Gaara got defeated, Naruto eats ramen and gets used to his former life again. But all seems moving so slow to me. This is ok - better than any of the filler eps.
It's weird that Deidara doesn't mind losing some of his limbs during a fight, though. You'd think he'd soon run out of blood not out of his super-arty-clay.Don't know if Deidra really is that much above Gaare. Deidara's plan was good no doubt but also very risky since he used up all of his clay. Gaara on the other hand had to protect the whole village from Deidara's bomb with lifting near infinite tons of sand and forming a shield with it. That drained a good many of chakra I'd say leaving him unable to fight with full force.Originally Posted by Mr. Roboto
deidara sucks
"I let him crush my arm so I could set him up"
yeah, no. you're terrible if you cant win a fight without seriously maiming yourself on purpose
hes a unique character i'll give him that. but he just sucks. he's a faggot too. the long hair over one eye like an emo, and black nail polish. give me a fucking break.
