I'll assume this is legit, in which case, it's about damn time!
Downloading now~
<@Terra> he told me this, "man actually meeting terra is so fucking big", and he started crying. Then he bought me hot dogs
i thought they'd get farther then this since it was an hour long special. but they just used the whole time for one fight....i guess thats good in terms of anime vs manga progression, but still kinda annoying. Im looking forward to kankuro's fight more then i did garaa's.
btw, wtf was the deal with the giant bulb head when baki was giving orders after gara's defeat. why the fuck can't these aritsts do that scene properly?
torrent's not working for me....

Anyways
Seems not many are liking the current pace of the series. In my case I have liked it. I prefer they stretch scenes, trying to explain more, instead of 2 page fights (its an example, not that Gaara vs Deidara took 2 pages...). That and that I prefer this 'filler scenes' instead of the previous 80 filler eps.
I enjoyed it. Yes I did.
Even if they took an hour to show me about 10 minutes worth of stuff.
The Konoha stuff really doesn't bother me too much. It's nice that Naruto is having to reaclimate himself instead of just going "Back after 2 years! Time to go back to what I was doing like nothing happened!"
lol i can't believe kankuro was dumb enough to start a fight. why didn't he just follow them back to their base?
seconded. animation was shoddy throughout the episode and rife with repeats. Watching Deidara's bird constantly fly around with that shitty ass half-hearted flapping and no dynamic movement at all was horrible. Oddly, the best animation comes with the final anti-air spear firing from the Sand's side, at 23:24. There's great detail on Deidara's face and his movement is so fluid. The arrow and dodge are so quick, and then the zoom into his eye and the explosion and debris flying is without a doubt the best animation in the entire episode. But why just use it there?Originally Posted by Assassin
edit - ah, i see, thanks assertn. animeaniax, i obvsiously was just using that one thing because it struck me as looking so awful. and i don't care if it is in the manga or not. if it looks stupid, it looks stupid.
sums up my feelings quite nicely.Originally Posted by StillAlive
also think Kank's attacking them was a stupid move.

Humans are different from animals. We must die for a reason. Now is the time for us to regulate ourselves and reclaim our dignity. The one who holds endless potential and displays his strength and kindness to the world. Only mankind has God, a power that allows us to go above and beyond what we are now, a God that we call "possibility".
Can't you tell? The second half was done by a different studio =]Originally Posted by masamuneehs

You're upset about the big-head scene even though it is drawn the same way in the manga by Kishimoto?Originally Posted by masamuneehs
The animation was below average during the first half, but I was amazed at the quality of animation in the second half (better than usual for Naruto since episode 134). Looks like the animation for the next episode will be good too.
I liked pretty much the entire episode, including the Naruto visit to Ichiraku scenes. I didn't like how Ichiraku guy threatened to beat up Naruto for "complaining" about his ramen. Naruto would kick his ass and eat his organs with his next serving of ramen. I didn't like the Sand Village ninjas' ineptitude and lameness.
I really liked the second half of the episode. Even the little scene where Shikamaru and Temari see each other off was well done and added to the fleshing out of the Naruto world, as well as Kakashi's late night and late morning.
It's legit...and it was ~60% disappointing. From the preview I know that the next hour long special will be even less entertaining, but this one really didn't excite me at all. The first half was interesting storywise but a lot of the animation just seemed weird. The second half just seemed like a bunch of wasted time (with the exception of the Kankuro chase which was alright).
Almost everything that happened in the Leaf village just seemed unnecessary, and it kept taking you away from the action in the Sand village. This ep, and my forecast of the next episodes looming mehness may induce me to actually drop this series from download ASAP status.

i was really looking forward to this episode but it was kind of boring. yukimura was right, everything in the leaf village was pretty pointless.
deidara's plan and execution showed how much above gaara he really is, especially since he revealed that he was trying to capture him without killing him.
the preview for the next episode looks pretty good. kankuro's fight with sasori looks interesting. but like the guy from the sand village said, if gaara was defeated by one, what chance does kankuro have against both of them.
well...deidara's moving on ahead.......plus he doesnt appear to have any more bombs either....
Man....I think they only covered like, 2 chapters in this ep..... >:|
However, I think maybe half the stuff with konoha was actually in the manga though.

What are the chances he even stands a chance 1v1 against the guy called "master" by the guy who defeated Gaara.Originally Posted by Mr. Roboto
It was a little boring because it felt like nothing happend. Gaara got defeated, Naruto eats ramen and gets used to his former life again. But all seems moving so slow to me. This is ok - better than any of the filler eps.
It's weird that Deidara doesn't mind losing some of his limbs during a fight, though. You'd think he'd soon run out of blood not out of his super-arty-clay.Don't know if Deidra really is that much above Gaare. Deidara's plan was good no doubt but also very risky since he used up all of his clay. Gaara on the other hand had to protect the whole village from Deidara's bomb with lifting near infinite tons of sand and forming a shield with it. That drained a good many of chakra I'd say leaving him unable to fight with full force.Originally Posted by Mr. Roboto
Episode was OK.
The Konoha and Naruto part was a bit boring, but I wont complain about. Gaara part was sad. Poor Gaara and all those people who cared about him. I really cant wait for Kankuro and Sasori's fight. It is going to be really interesting with Kankuro's new techniques.
