That shot was trying to show just how bad the situation is. That camera angle has been used before if I'm not mistaken. I don't think they have ever used it for when someone was walking. It's a really good camera effect for certain times, although I can't say it gave quite the right effect in the anime as it did in the manga.
ok, i just have to say this..what the hell is wrong with Naruto these days? these new eps just...honestly..they just suck, i mean wth is wrong with it, compared to the 'early' naruto this is just plain crap, the story is ok at times but seriously, a dude that eats clay with his hands and molds em into paperlike bomb things, did they ask around at the local kindergarden for that idea?
The main thing that bothers me tho, is the animation, what the **** did they do, fire the whole animation team/studio, did they run out of money to pay em or what? i'm barely enjoying this anymore than i did the fillers(wich i stopped watching after just a few eps btw).
I really want naruto to be as good as it was before all the fillers, but this just ain't cutting it.
I really hope they get ther act together and pump up the quality of this show, i want Naruto back to its former glory.

the trend with most shounen is that the 2nd season almost always never live up to the 1st one. Naruto seems to fall under the "most" group so prepare to be disappointed for a long time.

1) exceed the speed threshold of the moving sand
2) exceed the power threshold of the hardened sand
3) exceed his chakra stamina threshold of maintaining shukaku form
4) turn the defensive sand into a weapon to use against him
Personally, I think it's neat to see the different approaches people make when faced with the ultimate defense.

Did anyone notice that the "Gaara" that the bird is clutching looks like a sand-shell? I think he used that trick back during the fight after the Chuunin exam.
I don't think he's ever left a "sand-shell" behind... But we know that his whole body is covered with a sand protective armor. It would be interesting if such a thing as a sand-shell existed, it'll only mean that Kankuro might die for nothing.

Yeah that's what I was referring to, just forgot the details. Lee thought he had Gaara beat, but it turned out he attacked a shell of sand that resembles the "replacement technique", leaving the real Gaara time to recover. Look at the video, twice they show Gaara in the bird's grasp, but it's black where there are holes in the sand-shield that always covers Gaara. I think it's a ploy, and the real Gaara is safely hiding. Unfortunately for Kankuro, he didn't heed his comrades' warnings and ran off to die. However... Temari is on her way home and felt that ominous chill. She just might arrive in time to save Kankuro. Hope none of what I'm saying is spoilers, because I don't read the manga.

Maybe they'll lose a portion of their fanbase as viewers immediately start looking for other places to get their naruto fix

Yea, I've been thinking that that's a sand shell also. The only thing bugging me is when was the switch made. Gaara looked extremely tired after moving the sand away from the village, so it must have been pretty tight for him to manage a switch as well.
Or it couldve been a fake gaara pretending to move the sand....
We've seen gaara create a sand bunshin before against sasuke and have it catch shurikens and throw them back and such.

True, that is a good point. Would be pretty impressive though if a sand bunshin was fighting Deidara all that time, as a clone doesn't have the same amount of chakra as the the real fighter.
To state that you can't say that someone of the same gender looks good with the argument "I'm straight" does incidate some kind of insecurity, yes, or at least general wimpiness.
So your comment was really pretty unnecessary cuz this wasn't really about criticizing.

Just like with the replacement technique, Gaara could have switched out at any time. You never get to see when they switch out.
