In the far future, humanity has left behind an environmentally destroyed Terra and began colonization in order to reproduce their home. Humanity, now ruled by a super computer that controls the birth of children, sees the emergence of a new race called the "Mu". The Mu, now hidden from the rest of humanity, have one dream, to return home, to Terra...

watched tonight. Fairly standard, "Boy in a distopian future has some renegade gift and the system tries to kill him but he gets support of others like him" probably going to be about him saving the world... A whole bunch of blondes in this show... Looks like there may be some slashable relationships here between the main character and Soldier.

Strangely set in a very normal looking world, all of episode one felt very normal up until the last five minutes. None of the characters stand out to me, animation is mediocre, music is mediocre. This story feels like it's been done a million times already. However, the last five minutes were intriguing enough to make me want to wait until at least the next episode before deciding to drop this series or not...

Humans are different from animals. We must die for a reason. Now is the time for us to regulate ourselves and reclaim our dignity. The one who holds endless potential and displays his strength and kindness to the world. Only mankind has God, a power that allows us to go above and beyond what we are now, a God that we call "possibility".

I didnt mind the first ep. They left it hanging at a key spot in the story as expected so ill wait for next ep before making a final thought.

    Episode 2 & 3 are out!

A-E and Saizen - Toward the Terra - Episode 2
A-E and Saizen - Toward the Terra - Episode 3

I'm hoping these are good, as episode one ended well, but was quite weak otherwise. I've also become quite a bit less romanced with my other dystopia anime, so here's to hoping this series turns out well.

I don't know, I'm enjoying the series so far. Seems a bit emo so far, but I think it'll get better as the story progresses.

I wonder what else goes on during the adulthood exam... they have to do more than erasing memories, probably some brainwashing on how Mu are evil. Can't wait till Jomy's friend undergo the adulthood exam, I think they said they'd do it soon. We'll probably see Jomy forced to kill his friends or something.

    Episode 4:

I thought it was a nice episode, I think it'll be the last introductory episode...

Any of you keeping up with the series? I just watched up to episode 13, and it's been good so far. The show reminds me a bit of Battlestar Galactica, with the search for Earth (Terra) and all.

I've been liking the time jumps too, it's interesting to see how the characters have developed after a few years. It's been missing a bit of action, but it seems like that's about to change.

I am keeping up with releases and really like the series. It interesting will they really go to Earth or stay at Nezka as most of crew wants to stay.

I really doubt they'll stay there, mainly because the Humans either are already aware of them being there or they will be soon enough and send an all-out attack, so they'll be force to move. They'll probably lose a lot of people in that fight.

Keith Anyan is such an dick, but it looks like next ep he might have a chance to soften a little. It's either that or he'll mess up Physis pretty bad.

If anyone stil watches, it was announced that Toward the Terra was licensed by Bandai and AE & Saizen have dropped it. I don't think anyone else will be picking it up ever so oh well.

For fuck sakes, you got 8 million groups subbing 8 million shitty series, and when a decent show comes along with no loli, fanservice, harem shit etc only one group picks it up. Now that group has dropped it. Bah... /me rant over.

Guys according to AniDB, Terra-Subs were also releasing it and may still continue to do so even though their last release was Ep 6 roughly a month ago.

Groups that also sub it in French always makes me question their quality... since what they usually have is a Japanese to French translator then someone who translates the French to English. Hopefully I'm wrong.
