In the far future, humanity has left behind an environmentally destroyed Terra and began colonization in order to reproduce their home. Humanity, now ruled by a super computer that controls the birth of children, sees the emergence of a new race called the "Mu". The Mu, now hidden from the rest of humanity, have one dream, to return home, to Terra...

watched tonight. Fairly standard, "Boy in a distopian future has some renegade gift and the system tries to kill him but he gets support of others like him" probably going to be about him saving the world... A whole bunch of blondes in this show... Looks like there may be some slashable relationships here between the main character and Soldier.

Strangely set in a very normal looking world, all of episode one felt very normal up until the last five minutes. None of the characters stand out to me, animation is mediocre, music is mediocre. This story feels like it's been done a million times already. However, the last five minutes were intriguing enough to make me want to wait until at least the next episode before deciding to drop this series or not...

Humans are different from animals. We must die for a reason. Now is the time for us to regulate ourselves and reclaim our dignity. The one who holds endless potential and displays his strength and kindness to the world. Only mankind has God, a power that allows us to go above and beyond what we are now, a God that we call "possibility".

I didnt mind the first ep. They left it hanging at a key spot in the story as expected so ill wait for next ep before making a final thought.

    Toward the Terra - 17 - [Makoto]

Thank goodness for Makoto. This show really needed to be subbed.

I get more into this story every episode, and it just keeps on delivering. Now I'm wondering what the connection between Keith and Phyisis was supposed to be and where the others Mother Eliza spoke of are. And who the hell is Grand Mother?

Also, Tony is an interesting character, on the one hand he's a huge asshole with no empathy (very bad leadership prospect), but on the other hand he seems to follow everything Jomi says and seems intent on convinces others to do the same. This is very good as Jomi actually has some empathy and leadership ability. Hopefully the little chat in the break room about Tony taking over was an isolated event. He seems to understand his position much better than the other kids, who all need to be slapped harshly in the face a few times.

Tony may have the body of a 16 year old, but like the rest of the children, they've still got immature minds. Whether or not Tony will turn into a good leader, I think is still up in the air. He needs more time to grasp the situation, time which the Mu unfortunately do not have.

Grand Mother seems like the mastermind computer of the whole human memory alteration. What bugs me is Keith's revalation about himself. I can't tell if he's accepted his role as the perfect human being, or if he wants to put a stop to the memory manipulation.

Yeah, I'm a bit confused about Keith as well. In the last episode he looked more human to me when he found out about his origins but at the end he looks like a machine.

For you folks that might have missed it last week.

Seems like Keith has accepted his role as perfect human afterall. BTW, is anyone else annoyed by the sexual tension between Keith and his psychic sidekick? Kiss and get over it with already!

I hate Matsuka. The only reason I think he even follows Keith around is because he has some kind of taming instinct, wanting to make Keith show his "true self" even after being treated like a dog.

Weird how Keith has an abort button on his desk. I thought that was the PEW PEW button.
