ADTRW is not Studio ADTRW. Stop posting about this, you're completely wrong.Originally Posted by animus

Getting back to the topic of Gurren-Lagann....this was a pretty sad episode, though not on the level of episode 8 in terms of emotion..but from the ashes of despar shall rise Mega-Giga-Tera-Peta-Exa-Trans-Hyper-Ultimate Epic Gurren-Lagann Supreme
I can kind of see Simon failing in the end. He barely defeated Lord Genome, who got completely bitched out and cowed by the Anti-Spirals back in the day.
Simon was still a brat then. He is definitely many times more powerful and dependable now.
Peace.
Ok, I was wrong about that. But, not being a lurker of there how could I have known. Upon, just 1 minute of inspection I found out that they named their subs of anime with the same tag,Originally Posted by Y
Studio ADTRW's site lists Tengen Toppa as a project, though under dropped.
I only found out I was wrong due to some hard searching into their wiki. Learned that ADTRW is a anime subforum of SA, and that Studio ADTRW is a group of subbers from there. The connection's still confusing, but whatever.
You were wrong nonetheless, excuses are just that. So can we get back on topic please?
Peace.
I said I was wrong already, those were just explanations for why I was wrong, not an excuse into why I should've been right. You posting that was clearly not on topic either.
Episode 24 - ADTRW
This was a near perfect job than what I had perceived of 22. Anyways, the odd's look bleak for the Super Galactic Gurren Brigade. Lost a lot of people and what took the Super Galactic Gurren Lagann forever to charge up for was completely dissipated within seconds in some special water it seems.
Excuses ARE explanations why you were wrong.
Dont get me wrong, I can get your complaints. I just think that when you do make a mistake, explaining it is kind of pointless, especially if no one is asking for the reason.
They were really foolish to think everything will be ok as long as they have fighting spirit. Its nice to see that they actually crumbled in the face of actual strategy, since they themselves uaully have none.
Peace.
Flame War 2 cents: Admitting a mistake and offering the reasoning that led you down the wrong path doesn't nullify the mistake but it gives people the ability to judge you based on more than just your flawed result, it's just like getting partial credit on a test for showing your work.
Anyway
Why are you bothering watching this show if you want them to face realistic consequences for their actions? Pretty much every event in this show has been "Screw reality or odds or reason, fighting spirit is all you need to conquer all". Sure it's completely bogus and fantastical premise, but it's a fun fantasy to step into, partly because it's so enveloping and always works within the show. I wouldn't want the show to deviate from that and have them fail miserably in the end, if I wanted to see misery and failure I could just watch the news.Originally Posted by shinta|hikari
Uhm, I was just saying that I liked seeing them lose (in a way that is acceptable) since that will eventually lead to them rising from the ashes. From a show like this, its stupid to expect angst or anything of the sort, and I think it is perfect that way.
Peace.
meaningless rant: Considering how this anime has gone, it would be suprising if they had a 'rise from the ashes' ending, I think I'd be happy with just a knight saving the princess scenario. In any case, its going to end on a positive note. This anime shouts too much crazy optimism to do otherwise.

the bg music at the end for kittan was awesome... The bg really matched with the situation. good bye kittan! Among all the ganmen I liked your star the best.
Yeah, the "Fight the Power" with a bit of opera or orchestra behind it was prefect for the mood of Kittan's final stand.
Yoko is a Black Widow, stay away if you want to live!
I really like how this series is completely unafraid of killing off characters. It a situation as dire as they are in, even "never giving up" will not be enough to save the entire cast. Their sacrifices have so much more meaning that way.
The star-shaped sunglasses are a bit much for me, but let's see one universe powered robot destroy another Universe. We need a Nia included happy ending!
yeah whoever kisses yoko dies.. Simoun might need to be cautious of Yoko.hehe

Lol, Yoko is a black widow, but at least she's an Awesomeness Black Widow. If you kiss her you will die within hours, but at least you'll die in an awesome way with tremendous style and like a man should die.
I like Kittan and all, he's just honestly not good enough for Yoko, and pretty out of place for that to happen. They had almost no development each other, Yoko had something for Simon I believe. But meh, I was still wishing there'd be something still between her and Simon, but it never happened due to Nia.
But it was a good and sad ending for Kittan.
Atleast he was able to utilize the "spiral" power. So if all of the soldiers, specifically ganmen pilots, if they are able to use spiral power as well, then they will be powerful as Simoun right?
They would have been powerful, but not necessaril have had as much potential as Simon, since he was touched the deepest by Kamina, who probably would have had more Spiral power than anyone ever if he'd been the Lagann pilot. Plus Simon has main character status so no one can equal him. But If Kamina was still around and feeding Spiral Power he'd likely be at or above Simon's level.
