    ^ yep

Honestly speaking, i wished Mihashi had some more effects to his pitch.

Well episode 8 is out as well

    http://a.scarywater.net/saizen/%5BSa...5D.mkv.torrent

It was a pretty good episode touching on Abe's past relationship with his former pitching partner.

Tajima is a funny dude... hopefully he'll stick around for the rest of the series. Next episode looks to be majorly about Abe's past.

Its not going to be like Major where watching the raws is no problem. When they start explaining the stuff that happens in the game, it gets quite technical, though of course still understandable with sufficient understanding of Japanese.

So, I watched up to 15 in the raws and I have to say pardon my words, this totally rapes the shit out of Major. Everything is way more realistic, the personalities and quirks of the people on the team are so much more realistic, and I just like the overall atmosphere better. Not to spoil anything, but when you're watching one of the games you really feel like, wow so this is High School Baseball? You see bands, school cheer squads, parents, etc. Unlike in Major the galleries/audiences are usually nonexistant. No squads?

Not to say Major isn't any good, but it's generally just good for it's drama I'd have to say. Bit surprised how good this is due to the fact that the author is a female. But hey there're some great female authors (Full Metal Alchemist among others). The technical side of baseball just blows Major away. Major's all like, here's one dude with a 100% baseball hitrate, and the rest can't even lucky swing a gyroball (which isn't even real). And they say "Damn, it's wayyyyyy to fast."

I've been following the raws as well(up to episode 23) and I have to agree with animus. Everything is more realistic and there much more emphasis on strategy which can be seen in the earlier episodes as well. I'm also a big Major fan but so far its beating the 2nd and 3rd season of Major hands down and its close of beating the first season as well(which got me into watching sports anime).

I love Tajima, he's easily my favorite character.

The only thing great about Major is Goro. What is great about this show is its entirety. Even though I have to agree with animus that Tajima is the coolest one there, everyone is great, even if you dont judge them by supporting character standards.

We won't be seeing much during episode 10 and 11, just normal daily life stuff. Tajima and the coach are really the pillars of these series, they are awesome characters. Hopefully the tournament lotery will be very detailed.

  13. #33
Yeah, I love Tajima "Mihashi, the porn. Where's the porn?" and his quick fix to Mihashi's pitcher problem with a marker.

    Well here are Saizen's 11-13:

    And 14 by Central Anime:

Some nice episodes here, the crowd in the games are great with all their cheering squads and all. It feels like College Football. The lotery episode was nice, with the bathroom scene and all. The Tousei game is interesting so far, with the pitcher striking out Tajima... Mihashi also seems like he's confident this time around, let's see what he can accomplish out there... a "No hit, no run"?

wow this series is great... never thought that a sports-anime would be THIS good..
after watching kickers + tsubasa in my childhood i thought every sports-anime would be like these 2...

how is the clean up batter called? tajima? damn, that guy is funny xD "i forgot to mastrubate oh my gaaawd"
i somehow like the opening and ending very much... this anime got me... what i dislike however is the constant "shyness" of the pitcer

btw did saizen stop translating this or are they just a bit slower? because i didn't like the quallity of central anime at all... its so blurry..

and i cant believe that there are only 25 episodes.. i mean they have just started the first game and its alrdy the 14th. well i guess someday a second and third season will come out because they've got three years to play right?

Saizen is just slower... and Central-Anime's releases aren't as bad as you make them out to be, but their translations and editing should be top notch, so really no reason not to watch theirs.

    Here's episode 15 by C-A:

Quite a cool episode, and the atmosphere, the crowd, and the cheering squads are still great.

well maybe i m simply used to a very good quallity... but for some reason i think that the quallity of central anime is so blurry... its looks a bit like when you use a overhead-projector which isn't set perfectly..

the translation really is good they use different colours for thoughts(white) speaking(yellow) and background voices (green) which makes it pretty easy to follow..

its just the video quallity.. and i see no difference in the h264 and the normal .avi
i allways thought h264 is something like high definition because of the coding. (even though it has a smaller filesize)

but the good thing is that they are faster, i've watched to episode 17 ... great game, i even cried out one time and said "WHAT? is this guy blind? he wasn out at all!"
geez.... this anime is really fun to watch.. btw its the first time for me that i "like" the fans

the cheering is really well done and you can somehow identify yourself with them... normally its only the girlfriend or someone special like a father or mother who do the cheering and who have an effect on the players... now for the first time (for me) everyone is worthy to be called a fan and finally the characters don't focus on a single person keep on saying something like "this is for you father/mother".

yes this anime is imho one of the best in sports... i hope the creators will make more of it.

As for stopping very often just to read the subs, I think it's just you because I read them just fine... practice your speed reading lol.

I'll get up-to-date tomorrow, watching Rambo and then the Celtics tonight so no time.

well it happend only in episode 18 and the subs faded away even before they finished talking which was somehow irritating. (for example 10:58 and the following scene with the coach)
its difficult to follow if they explain something and you never watched baseball before ^^
the rest was fine it was just somehow weird that it happend so often to me in this episode.(there were episodes with much more theoretical speeches which weren't a problem for me)

btw i heard that central anime will sub episode 26, too

    to the content:

man i really do sympathise more with Tosei right now than with Nishiura... Mihashi is so annoying exspecially in the later episodes.. his nervousness is simply too much now, it was fine at the beginning and somehow funny but now, even though everyone accepts him and so on he is even more nervous, i hate that. the part with his fever etc. is fine but take for example the scene with his "eyes-blinking" <--- i didn't even understand why he does that?!

Tosei's pitcher is pretty cool and funny and so is Shingo (man he owns) and the catcher seems to be a very good batter.
it's not that Nishiura has bad people, its just that Mihashi is dropping the "coolness-factor" of the team. (who does not like Tajima?)

woah episode 23 was the coolest thing i've ever seen xD
