    Ookiku Furikabutte

Here's the preview I uploaded for Ookiku Furikabutte:
    http://www.sendspace.com/file/mabzea

It's a baseball series, which I think many of you that watch Major will enjoy. Here's what I wrote about it in the manga section:

Apparently it was voted the best baseball manga of all time somewhere, so I'm here to recommend it to you guys that like baseball mangas.
It has a couple of cool characters, and I would say many of you would find some of the scenes humorous. Besides those comedic aspects, you'll experience some dramatic portions, which is really what I look for in these types of mangas. And I think the manga has delivered so far.

Mihashi moves on to high school convinced he is a lousy baseball pitcher. There he meets the catcher Abe and the team manager Momoe who together work to make Mihashi and the team shine.

Ookiku Furikabutte isn't just a baseball manga. It's the story of a timid young man who was made an ace pitcher in middle school because of family connections. Now he's in high school and it's his time to shine as an ace in his own right.

Reading this story will get your blood boiling, heart pumping and tears flowing. It has been popular since it was serialized, a true Japanese high school baseball manga!

does the manga also have time jumps like major?

I wouldn't count on it... I think only 7 volumes have come out in Japan, and I pretty much think that those will all deal with High School.

Those funny faces the main character keeps making are hilarious. I never thought they can be animated so well. And the coach is awesome The OJ sequence was great.

Lol, so far a good first episode. I don't know if it'll rival how I feel about Major, yet but I feel that it has the potential. Also, this anime has the manager and her beautiful jugs.

Man, this is a really good series. The baseball game details are very refreshing. The in-game sequences are much better than in Major. Now, we can only hope that the drama becomes just as good.

This show absolutely rocks. Its totally different from Major, but is still quite exciting. Real baseball fans should watch this, since it is more of mind games than raw talent.

Loved these episodes. Is it me or whenever they do a pan of the big-titty manager she always looks like she's horny?

Honestly speaking, i wished Mihashi had some more effects to his pitch.

It was a pretty good episode touching on Abe's past relationship with his former pitching partner.

Tajima is a funny dude... hopefully he'll stick around for the rest of the series. Next episode looks to be majorly about Abe's past.

Its not going to be like Major where watching the raws is no problem. When they start explaining the stuff that happens in the game, it gets quite technical, though of course still understandable with sufficient understanding of Japanese.

So, I watched up to 15 in the raws and I have to say pardon my words, this totally rapes the shit out of Major. Everything is way more realistic, the personalities and quirks of the people on the team are so much more realistic, and I just like the overall atmosphere better. Not to spoil anything, but when you're watching one of the games you really feel like, wow so this is High School Baseball? You see bands, school cheer squads, parents, etc. Unlike in Major the galleries/audiences are usually nonexistant. No squads?

Not to say Major isn't any good, but it's generally just good for it's drama I'd have to say. Bit surprised how good this is due to the fact that the author is a female. But hey there're some great female authors (Full Metal Alchemist among others). The technical side of baseball just blows Major away. Major's all like, here's one dude with a 100% baseball hitrate, and the rest can't even lucky swing a gyroball (which isn't even real). And they say "Damn, it's wayyyyyy to fast."

I've been following the raws as well(up to episode 23) and I have to agree with animus. Everything is more realistic and there much more emphasis on strategy which can be seen in the earlier episodes as well. I'm also a big Major fan but so far its beating the 2nd and 3rd season of Major hands down and its close of beating the first season as well(which got me into watching sports anime).

The only thing great about Major is Goro. What is great about this show is its entirety. Even though I have to agree with animus that Tajima is the coolest one there, everyone is great, even if you dont judge them by supporting character standards.
