Makoto effectively cut off Nebula's head which then fell into the chest. I think it's sitting atop the core itself. The tiny sphere the Idolmaster sits in is way in the back at the very top of each head. You can see the top of the sphere Iori is in when Makoto and Hiems blow the spike off. There's no connection from the head to the core anymore.
Looking back to the preview, which Idol is Yukiho in? Either way, whichever it is, it's not happy. Chihaya is gonna be rejected by Imber again...
I can totally see some keyless Haruka-Imber fighting action.

What Yukiho's betrayal reveals is how well written the show really is. Only after seeing her motivation for everything (to return back to Chihaya's side) do you see why she was crying early on. Yukiho felt frustrated she couldn't run Imber. She was saddened and sobbing for a large portion of the episode until they made her Haruka's operator. It's clear only now that if she had gotten a response from Imber, she would have stolen it right away. She was crying not because she felt useless to Mondenkind, but that it would take that much longer to return Imber to Chihaya.
There may be tons of Eva references throughout the series, but the show adds a very subtle plot underneath the stereotypical girl-meets-robot mecha series.

I knew the Captain reminded me of someone. 'Dandy' is the only word to describe him, and his fighting style is rather distinctive. He's a copy of Slayer from Guilty Gear. Just without the whole blood sucking thing.

The capitain pulling out the boxing moves was pretty sweet, I bet he would wipe the floor with Gendou.
Also I had forgotten about Yukiho crying in the beginning, good observation. I wonder if they'll explain her narcolepsy as well. That scene where she was looking at the Giraffe hints that she's having second thoughts, especially since Chihaya is being a bitch to her and Haruka was always nice. Yukiho seems to have fair-weather fan written into her DNA so I wouldn't be surprised if she was the architect of the Imber reclamation.

Indeed.
Otherwise, a pretty interesting episode. RIFFA's origin, Mother was a puppet (big surprise...</sarcasm>) for whatshisname, I'll call him Nagi. He of course, was taking revenge on those damn assholes behind the cat. Luckily, he died in a very violent fashion.
Then the manager is even more awesome than we thought, Chihaya gets desperate, and Makoto may have turned back to the side of good. I think Yukiho is going to come back to kill all the others in a rage.
Can't wait for the next episode.

The manager was excellent indeed, taking on all those psycho loli's with her bare hands.
I'm thinking Yukiho is going to become the avatar of Spirit Chihaya's crazy plan, but then HarukImber will knock some sense into her with a Big-I Showtime Punch of Friendship.
Not sure what they'll do with Iori if Makoto has decided to stop being a whiny brat, maybe she'll fight some Epi's or something.

More than changing 'sides' or stop whining... Makoto truly loves the manager... thus she stopped Yukiho, and didn't care when Chihaya was shot.

Idolmaster - 26 - {SRN]
Woot this is finally over! I hope Yukiho somehow comes back so she can get bitch slapped by someone.
