And Haruku needs to undergo a completely unnecessary and uncalled for sex change.

Hey guys, I found Misato
That was the biggest impression for me from the first episode.
I really don't know what to think of this, but it thinks kind of good...
Yes. There are similarities. And Haruka's friend dressed as a penguin is Pen Pen :P
Similar... but better.
Slow episode two, but with interesting info.
The Evangelion-esque loli popstar battle for survival continues
Serin - Idolmaster Xenoglossia - Episode 3
i'm not too big on this show, to be honest. it's pretty well made, but just not that interesting. and it is either super creepy or super lame (depending on your humor) how similar this series seems to Eva.
Humans are different from animals. We must die for a reason. Now is the time for us to regulate ourselves and reclaim our dignity. The one who holds endless potential and displays his strength and kindness to the world. Only mankind has God, a power that allows us to go above and beyond what we are now, a God that we call "possibility".
Personally, I'm a fan of Eva, and I think the similarities and references to it are hilarious. Every time I catch one, it makes me smile.
What was weirder was the classroom conversation from eps 3. Missiles can be used to destroy the meteors, but Japan can't use missiles, so the rest of the world lets them use city leveling mechs? Missiles are one-time use weapons. Giant beam shooting mechs are multiple time use. Was I the only one who saw the problem with this logic?
This series has been weird enough so far to keep me interested.
Hmmm... maybe the anti-missile policy was dragged from past wars (wwii)? And an anti-mech one was never made.
Ep3 was good, but I was hoping to see more, and not end there. I mean... I was expecting that scene since the middle of the episode.
Lol at the forehead girl (forgot her name) and her nude pose...
Well, I think this topic needs a bump.
In any case, Serin has released up to Episode 13, which was pretty interesting in a couple ways. We got to see Yayoi without a costume for longer than 30 seconds, Haruka continued to be her own moronic self, and Makoto is formally no longer the master of Nebula.
I've expected that for a long time. Her obvious disregard for Nebula as anything but a machine while Haruka has clearly been making leaps and bounds with Imber thinking of it as a living being (which apparently the Idol Cores are) has led her to this. So she's left Mondernkind is dispair for Triabeter and she'll most likely be the Idolmaster of Hiems. I wasn't surprised at all once they said she had left.
So this leaves us with a clear quandary. Something needs to happen and soon. That old bitch that runs Triabeter has wanted to use Idols for evil since she and the other scientists found the cores long ago. Now she's winning. She's got Nublium, Hiems, and her abomination of a copy. Mondernkind has only Nubula and Imber. Something clearly needs to shift the balance of power. Will Ami's twin sister Mami return with the Tempestus? Will Mondernkind be able to utterly destroy Epimethus to even the sides (I imagine destroying any one of the real cores would be a problem for the other Idols as well as probably ripping a big chunk out of the Earth).
It took a while, but the series has reached a level worth speculating and discussing.

Well said Ryl, though it's ep 13 not 15 that's the most recent.
Anyway Makoto's defection seems like it should have been foreseen by the others. I don't think I'm going to discount the possiblilty that she was reassigned from idol master to being a spy (to counter that new guy in Mondenkind EU who is clearly a spy for Triabeater). Makoto's breakdown was well done and I was a little surrprised that instead of the plot allowing for her to be built back up they just cut her loose to the bad guys. She may end up coming back, since she does have a preexisting relationship with the 'good guys' but she's also got a lot of hate, and liekly a lot in common with the Director's twin. Maybe she'll come around again later maybe not.
As to the power discrepancy, I think Haruka showed that Nubilium isn't much of a threat anymore, so if Forehead-chan can learn to take on Heims & Makoto they might be alright.

just watched the first 3 episode and its really good so far dling the other eps
I don't think the Mondenkind EU guy is a spy for Triabeater really. I do think he's up to something nefarious, just not with that old bitch. He knows too much about everything, and seems quite willing to share if he knows he can make someone around him squirm.
Chihaya and Nubilium are truly no longer a match for Haruka and Imber, but Makoto and Hiems could be a huge threat to Deko-chan and Nebula. Iori is Makoto's clear inferior, though I imagine if she can grow a good relationship with Nebula (since she shows clear concern for it) she's might be as unstoppable as Haruka and Imber are right now. Makoto is feeling pretty bad about the whole thing and would probably like to see Nebula crushed. She doesn't view them as lifeforms anyway, so she probably won't have any problem crushing her former "tool." Add in Riffa and "Ebi-chan" and it's well leaned towards Triabeater.
Long-term, Mondenkind may have a chance. But Makoto could be attacking them with Hiems right away once it's frame is done.
Til what episode has the subbing reached? Currently, raw is up to 17, and I must say this is certainly worth watching, even if you have to endure a bit in the beginning.
Well, the lack of male characters may turn off some people, but I would assert that the fault there lies with the people.
Peace.
Serin - Episode 14
Well, this episode was pretty much for Iori what the earlier episodes were for Haruka. Iori loves Nebula, Nebula loves her back...how sweet. Toriyabeater (according to Serin's new translation) is after Tempestus, surprise surprise. Only problem is it went to another dimension or outer space or wherever Idols are from. It took Ami's sister Mami with it, as revealed earlier. I speculate that toward the end of the series, it will return with Mami the exact way they left, she'll still be her young self. They'll rejoin Mondenkind, and everyone will be happy.
This episode also heralds the return of the Evangelion plot ripoffs. Some people don't like them, I think they're kind of funny. Today was the Dummy Plug episode. It ended a little differently than it did in Eva, but it's pretty blatant. They also tossed in the "Idol Series" units, in the form of Epimeteus mass production. Looks like next week, we'll get the power outage episode where they have to launch the Eva's...oops, I mean Idols, manually.
I didnt notice those similarities, but now that I think about it, thats quite true. I just hope they dont overdo it and end up copying too much. Personally, I like this show, so I dont want it to end up mimicking eva. A bit is fine though, since it is quite hard to deviate from the broad range of stuff eva has brought about, which is the reason so many mecha shows are compared to it.
Peace.
Idolmaster - 15 - [Serin]
Well it was more like a cross between the Jetalone ep then the launch the Eva without power ep. The main points of similarity being, sabotage from the inside and the glasses commander saving the day with a crazy plan.
More to the point, who messed with the maintenance key, has Imber always been a moe lover, and does Imber not like Haruka anymore!?

I think Imber is a moe lover, and for that reason, he cant really not like Haruka, the ribbon bubbly semi-idiotic clumsy character archetype. I think he just misses Misato a bit.
Peace.
After a short break so they could translate the new OP:
[Serin] IdolMaster Xenoglossia 16
[Serin] IdolMaster Xenoglossia 17
[Serin] IdolMaster Xenoglossia 18
More Girl x Machine love. Haruka went inside the boy she likes?
Man traitors are so annoying. Gotta give it to Triavitea though, they are much better at mech design than Mondenkind.
I think it would be foolish to assume that Tempestas and Mami aren't about to come back and save Ami, Haruka, and Deko-chan. It's the only way Mondenkind has a chance.
I wonder if she'll still be young, or even the possibility of her only being mentally young, but physically mature as her sister. She's appeared the same age as Ami in the new OP, but seemed very timid. It would be an interesting twist, but at this point, it may just be hopeful speculation on my part. Going by the animation in the openings are rarely a good idea, something I've advocated against in the past.
I had thought that that Mondenkind Europe guy was going to be the mole. I was completely duped by the writers. Job well done. His loyalty seems pretty unquestionable at this point.
Well the EU guy is still a tad shady for me, I don't think he's on Triveater's side, but I definately think he's loyal to his own side much more than the Japan people who we know and love. As long as Konden Japan is still viable he'll be on their side, but if they decide the iDOLs aren't worth the trouble or something he'll become an enemy pretty fast.
Also what happened with Iori and Nebula? Isn't the Idol cockpit in the head? If so then wy is she still alive. Also the Core should be in the chest so why can't she move, assuming Nabula's core is in it's chest like Imber's.
Side note: Tempestas (assuming that thing in the preview with Tempestas) was almost certainly also designed by the hacks who built Imber and Nebula...
