    iDOLM@STER Xenoglossia

Here's the ED for Idol Master Xenoglossia:

    Here are two previews:
    http://www.sendspace.com/file/sh91pw
    http://www.sendspace.com/file/l4adej

Based on japanese arcade game (http://www.idolmaster.jp).

The show centers around mecha and reimagines the ten prospective pop idols as fighter pilots of those robots, eight of them also posing as students.

This is quite the spinoff.Xenoglossia for Xbox I believe was only about the 'pop-idols'. Not really interesting. Add mechas and it gets interesting.
Another anime Im looking forward this season (alongside Nanoha StrikerS, Darker than Black and El Cazador de la Bruja)

I can't imagine how a show about pop idol's in mecha can not be at least somewhat humorous. I'll definately check this out for a few episodes.

Well, first episode was good, actually... really good.

At first I found interesting to see an Asteroid Belt around Earth. Then we see a city underwater. And later learn the asteroid belt used to be the Moon.
Seems it is a post-tragedy world.

I hadn't seen previews of the series so that came as a surprise. A good one.

Haruka with penguin pantsu... lol... seems we will have some fanservice, although not much since we really didn't see them :P

Yukiho falling asleep 2 times? WTF?

The other characters look interesting. Especially those 'twins' (they are twins right?) that seem to have different agendas.

Overall I believe that only watching one ep I shall see this to the end.

About Serin... good job most of the time. Several lapsus brutus in spelling (Yukioh for example). But what I didn't like from them was that in one part you had the operator and Haruka talking at the same time, and they just translated the operator. Or when they launched Nebule they posted: "Nebule ???". Since I don't know that much japanese I don't know if they translated everything correctly. Hope they release a V2 though.

From the description I didn't think it would be all that interesting...I was thinking there'd bea bunch of whiny pop stars piloting mechs, but it looks like it has good potential, though I doubt there will be anything groundbreaking.

Is there anyone else that's planning to sub it though?

The first episode was a pretty good intro and I with RyougaZell that the twins are pretty interesting(did anyone else notice that the twins look like Natsuki from My Hime/Otome?).

Eh, I guess that was decent. Anyone notice how when the episode's ending it feels like Seed or Seed Destiny? Seems like it's gonna be a shoujo-ai cess pool or atleast make jokes about it happening/being there since every important character is female.

I noticed several charachter design similarities, the girl that was dumped out of her bed reminds me strongly of someone but I can't say who. Of course the Natsuki twins, and Yukiho reminds me of Shiori from Kanon.

@BoC: Who is it that you think resembles Tsuruya?

The girl waiting for Haruka at the station. I don't think they ever mentioned her name.

I think that's the girl I mentioned as falling out of her bed, maybe that's what I'm remembering.

Maybe in future episodes. First one was the classic (and necessary) introductory one.

Yukiho is a dead ringer for Siesta from Zero no Tsukaima. Same haircut, same seiyuu, similar attitude.

Seems interesting, I'll see where it goes from here.

Humans are different from animals. We must die for a reason. Now is the time for us to regulate ourselves and reclaim our dignity. The one who holds endless potential and displays his strength and kindness to the world. Only mankind has God, a power that allows us to go above and beyond what we are now, a God that we call "possibility".

Is it only me that thinks this show has several references to Evangelion? Big collection of potential pilots, robots that activate on their own because of certain pilots, many penguin appearances, a "manager" with considerable martial talents, and a mysterious commander who stands/sits higher than anyone else in the control room and doesn't directly take control of anything?

I like where this is going so far though. Many, many questions for so early in the series.

All that's left is a short-haired girl with an arm cast.

If the quiet girl who pilots the Nebula breaks her arm, we're all set. We've already got the Asuka-esque girl in the big-forehead girl voiced by Yukari Tamura. Thinks she's better than the heroine, and is offended by Haruka's skills without training.
