That's a huge spoiler for those that've never read the manga.
I would find it really interesting if they had Yomas that were much more powerful than even Abyssal Ones, but just don't care about the human world.
That is very unlikely. I really think that the reason why claymores (practically all of them) are stronger than youmas is because their creation is not an addition. I mean, adding a human to a youma isnt exactly adding ANYTHING. Youmas are stronger, faster, and smarter than humans. This means that the process caused them to mutate into a completely new species, which is not any percent youma or any percent human, but 100 percent claymore. This would also account for the fact that Clare is so strong despite having "1/4" youma in her body.

I think Abyssal ones are just Awakened Beings who remain in control of their mind. Every AB we have seen usually wants to just eat flesh. Well, we haven't seen Easley or Riful talk about eating flesh all the time.
an "abyssmal" is a number 1 claymore that awoke into an AB, how can that NOT be clear?

I can't believe how deeply people are looking into a term. If you rewatch episode 16 from 15:00-16:00 you'll see that the term (translated as Dwellers of the Deep) was used to collectively reference the 3 former Number Ones who had awakened and then moved off to the North, South, or West and then settled without moving around much. Galatea says "From then on they never appeared in the open again, and were therefore called 'Dwellers of the Deep' " .
I supposed you could say the definition applies to any Awakened Being that awakened and then disappeared into hiding somewhere, but that would make the majority of them "Dwellers of the Deep" and the term would lose a lot of its meaning.

All the same term, all with the same meaning. They are the "deepest" since they have fallen the furthest from being at the apex of the warriors, to the strongest of enemies. There's really no need to look at it further than that. It doesn't have anything to do with hiding, Riful said they just coincidentally happened to settle away from each other. She also stated that they weren't hiding, they just ate and slept. The Organization left them alone because they were too strong. They did the same for Priscilla (as Rubel told Clare right after the Teresa flashback). Riful took on a lover, and she's the eldest of the two females, Isley gathered forces here and there, only deciding to use them after he took on a "lover."

A happy ending...ugh. And stupid Raki, "Don't kill the monster who has no hope of redemption and eats human entrails to live, she had a shitty childhood" why did he have to live. And Jean...doing that to save Clare I can get behind that, but by saving Raki in the process it tainted and otherwise excellent moment.
And lots of loose ends left up in the air, all those Awakened Beings who scattered when Rigardo showed up, are we supposed to believe they just went back home? Then there's Galatea saying she can't sense their Yoki, but the Organization already knows she has a soft spot for Clare, so they probably wouldn't trust her and will send Rafaela after them anyway. So Clare vs Rafaela is in the future, Rafaela who apparently would be a match a full strength Irene, and can sneak up on people. I'd like to see how that is supposed to work.

Hmm... I guess it wasn't a bad ending altough not very dramatic either. It tasted of Hollywood. Still, it doesn't give any hints of whether they plan to continue it later or not. I guess time will tell once the manga has progressed further. Assuming this wasn't so totally different from the manga they can't anymore continue it.
Since there happened nothing really conclusive nor dramatic I don't feel like it will pay off to much analyze it. I will just say I'd have preffed at the end, instead of crying and running to Clare's embrace, Raki giving a thumbs up and saying: "Sounds good to me". But then again, maybe it has just been too little time since Kaze no Stigma ended...
Hey everyone long time lurker first time poster.
Personally i couldnt help but feel quite disapointed with the ending. It just felt extremely cliche and rushed with more than a few questions left unanswered. As Yuki pointed out i cant just accept that Easleys army of Awakened Beings disapearing into thin air. Wasnt he marching his army south to take on Riful? That was a fight i was holding out for and i would of loved some backstory on them. I guess ill have to go read the manga to find out these answers. Overall i did enjoy this series alot except the last couple of episodes which i felt were out of place and werent up to the same standard as the rest of the series.
The ending wasn't all that bad..just the kind of episode you'd expect at the end of a season.
They set it all up so they can continue. They go separate ways, leave the organisation and try to find out the truth about them.
Easley and Prescilla survive...Their invasion still has to happen.. etc. etc.
I really assume there will be a sequel once.
Then again.. Berserk never had one untill now..
Man... I knew that was going to happen.
Something tells me if they do continue the anime, somewhere down the line Priscilla will turn on Easley.
I guess the ending was ok. It wasn't spectacular or anything, but good enough for me. Man i want to see more of Deneve with her dual-wielding action! I don't really like Helen as much though. She seems so boring... Stretchy arms and legs?
I really hope there is a season 2. This show is really good and I don't want to give it up for the manga.

There is no second season of Berserk.
The manga goes further, though.. and it is supposed to be awesome. Since the anime is very popular, I don't understand why they don't make a sequel.
The 'until now' part was a poor choice of words for "they didn't do it yet, but hopefully they will."
Sorry for the confusion.
Problem is, they can't simply continue Berserk as they left out several key characters from the Anime which were in the manga. They'd have to redo it or do a massive rewrite to slot it in somehow O_o
As for this, felt like just the final episode of a season. Nothing that left me feeling satisfied with the end of the series etc.
Just one question, I'm not asking for details from the manga, but have they made any changes which means they can't continue or is it open for another season based on the original manga?
