A web version of NEWTYPE revealed some spoilers about upcoming content. I have no intention of repeating them anywhere. My fellow manga readers should be aware that Claymore will probably have a anime-exclusive ending. Whether it's really true or not, I'm just going to sit back and enjoy it for what it is.

    NOOOOoooooooooo....!!!!!

Well, we'll see. They don't have any intentions of another season? I was hoping for a season 2, but to have an anime-exclusive ending might suggest otherwise, right?

It might be, the anime is coming pretty close to the manga, and the manga just can't keep releasing stuff fast enough since it's on a monthly release.

Well, if they end the anime I will just switch to the manga as usual. The action in claymore isnt really its selling point, especially the recent flash sword graphic mania.

Great episode.. shows the idea of 'silence before the storm' really well.
I loved the Undine part. It really surprised me .

I really don't know how they're gonna fit this all into 6 more eps...

I'm a little worried about the anime-original ending. It makes no sense to me, unless they can somehow salvage the possibility of continuing the story in the future... not compromise the story completely. It just makes no sense that we've gone this far following the manga to simply trash the series away.

To repeat the issue again, it's similar to the situation with Berserk. The anime got to a certain point and there wasn't a great deal of material to go beyond. (Granted, Berserk failed to continue to due a staff conflict). There's really only two choices, leave the audience hanging, or fabricate a suitable end point.

This is not the best place to put in manga-anime comparisons, but I could see a very conceivable place to end the anime. It would be a fantastic place for the ending that would drive fans to the manga. Make a second season years later or don't. I'll post it in the manga thread for those interested.

However, many fans are severely turned off by the "Berserk style ending." I'm not, I actually see them as a great way to end a series, satisfying but leaving you wanting so much more. I'm part of a minority though.

    @Munsu
I agree, it does seem to make little sense. I'm hoping it's wrong or a bad interpretation by newtype. I could see how they could incorporate some elements, as many are similar to the manga, but ultimately we'll just have to accept it either way.

I agree with you about berserk. Though I dont see it as a great way, it is not exactly as bad as people make it out to be. People can always switch to the manga when the anime finishes.

I wouldn't mind a Berserk like ending, just because it didn't compromise the future of the story. I'm afraid that a Claymore anime ending might just do that.

Only 6 more episodes? Like the rest, the anime exclusive ending doesn't sound too promising to me either. Either way, the manga would have to be the way to go once the anime stops. I've been trying to find the manga in stores but no such luck yet. I'll either have to import or download then....

I don't know where you got that it was impossible to hide... how do you think that Irene was hiding for all these years? Also, Helen might have not been aware of her simply because she wasn't looking. Third, maybe she did notice and got the hint from Deneve to go away.

Also, maybe she noticed and just didn't pay any attention since there are so many calymores around rite now. To me it seems that detecting someones yoki isn't a precise art. It seems to be more like "hey, theres someone around that i can't see" instead of "hey, theres someone 3 m to the left and 4.8 m in front of where i am". Helen probably did detect undine's yoki, but couldn't tell if it was from the room, or just outside the room.

Teresa at first tried to hide her yoki at max so that irene and co. didn`t noticed her, then asked herself who was she kiding, since its imposible to do so... or something like that, do notice priscilla`s particular ability is to close up her yoki COMPLETELY.

Because she kept her yoki at a minimun (not sure here though) and its not the same looking a yoki in a small inn as looking a yoki that could be anywhere, yokis probably are all the same, making it even harder, HOWEVER undine was right there, Helen should`ve noticed imo.

That seems more reasonable, although, clare kinda noticed galatea`s yoki pretty far away... she wasn`t looking either.

It doesn`t seems as if she noticed anything, Helen has a big tongue as stated by Deneve and if she though something fishy was going on she would most definitively search.

It should be clear from Deneve's speech and some of Helen's words earlier in the series that the two of them trust each other more than anyone else. Helen isn't that bright, and she has been shown in the past to trust Deneve's words completely.

Munsu and Assasin are both correct, Helen's guard is down around Deneve and with all the yoki floating around from 20 odd Claymores, she's not going to notice someone's in the backroom. If she even bothers to look for it at all. We've been accustomed to Clare's, Galatea's and Teresa's ability to sense Yoki, the three of them are absurdly more skilled than anyone else, especially those in Pieta.

Another consideration is that Undine hiding in the back room was in a somewhat "deflated" state ... meaning she was probably not really putting out a whole lot of yoki at the time. Which would also make her less obvious, I think. Sort of like how Clare can't fight for crap when it's against a non-released claymore...

It seems Priscilla is paying more attention to Raki than Easley. From Easley's words, I wonder if she actually likes Easley at all, sounds like unreturned love to me.

Throughout the series, we've heard all about different claymores having varying amounts of yoki, and going over the 80% limit and all. If each person has different limits, then I don't really see how others can just look at you and say, "you've gone over your limit, you'll awaken." I guess you can probably guess from sensing how much they have when they've got <10% released, but hey, for those like Undeine who like to release some even in non-combat situations, it can through you off. Undeine's also pumping her muscles and, to me, slightly distorting her face without golden eyes. Just another thing I picked up.

From the looks off the preview, Rigardo's leading the pack. Guess we might not be Easley in action next episode, or maybe until the very end of the episode.
