god damn the fuckheads doing Naruto right now should study this episode to learn how to properly alternate between battles and actually keep the viewers' interest... Awesome battle.

No love for Undine? I thought she was pretty badass, going on sheer strength and willpower to get out of the Yoki Control. If she used more of her Yoma powers she'd be ridiculous. I have a feeling she'll still cause some trouble with Miria and disobeying orders, but the one I'm really worried about is Flora, who is certainly suspicious about Denevee (she's so awesome) and Clare's performance...

That little conversation between the two 'defensive bait' Claymores was really cool. That's one of the things that makes this show stand out, it goes a little bit into almost ALL of the characters.

Raki... I agree with what's been said that he'll cause drama by stupidly not realizing Easley and Priscilla's true natures...

I think so as well. This might be part of why Priscilla isn't going to eat Raki, just hold him hostage.

As for who will die... I think it'll certainly be Miria. She's been hyped up alot, but as (deneve?) noted, she's probably putting her body under very wicked stress and might permanently Awaken... Also, losing the leader is sorta necessary for Clare coming into her own as the key element whenever the showdown with Priscilla and Easley occurs. Guarantee that Riful shows up there at the clutch moment. I also have a bad feeling about... well... about almost all of the Slashers... I honestly don't see any of them, except Clare, getting out of this arc alive...

Humans are different from animals. We must die for a reason. Now is the time for us to regulate ourselves and reclaim our dignity. The one who holds endless potential and displays his strength and kindness to the world. Only mankind has God, a power that allows us to go above and beyond what we are now, a God that we call "possibility".

The show in on the H slippery slope. Next step is Pricsilla raping Raki .

Raki hasn't seen Clare for 3+ months now, so I don't think it's as likely, but dunno, maybe. Eclipse translated as smells "good" instead; don't know about the significance in the difference.

I don't know if she's gonna die or not. Hope not, don't want any slashers to die
What I got from Deneve's words on Miria being in worse condition than the rest was that the organization was most suspicious of her as a half-awakened claymore and has been sending her on suicide missions like anything. Somehow she's survived, and now is this strong. Was that Easley wielding a claymore in the preview?

And one other thing that's been on my mind for a while, we've seen some variety of ABs now, ranging in size, colour and shape. Most ABs are a dark colour, like Duff (dark red/moroon), Pricilla (brown) and Riful (dark green). I've noticed two exceptions though. In Riful's hideout, Jeane and the other girl who awakened. They were an alien white. Don't think it's important to the story, just an observation.

Priscilla definitely said "Omoshiroi Nioi" which directly translates to "smells interesting". Smells good has the implication that she wants to eat Raki. Smells interesting actually implies otherwise, showing curiosity and less likelihood that she will simply chow down and forget about the brat.

Yeah, I thought that was funny too. Wondered why he's still alive after smelling so "good". I'm thinking more about what Easley's going to say to Raki though, sounds like something quite influencial, from the preview. Something to do with either getting stronger, Claymores or ABs.

I never really found whats wrong with eating humans. I mean they have to live-- nothing wrong with that. It isn't like there are enough Yoma to make an impact in the population growth curve :O~.. Though, if they werent like RAWR I WANNA EAT YOUR GUTS-- I feel they would be more widely accepted

  7. #727
I think it's a human thing, people see themselves as above nature b/c of intelligence, so us as intelligent beings being eaten by things feels inherently wrong. It does beg the question of what is it about human guts that makes them more tasty then animal guts.

I would say the following "So it goes.." -- You eat cows dont you? and veal? We too are in the animal kingdom-- Not above it.

  10. #730
The problem is not what you eat but how you eat it, be stylish !

  11. #731
lol, maybe if they cooked us. We wouldnt be so revolted by it, i mean non-seasoned or cooked, we need a jamie oliver of the yoma world to come into the picture...

Umm.... No, they still would not be accepted. People aren't going to stand there watching their friends and family get eaten. They aren't going to be like "Oh you want to cook him? Ok, go right ahead, that's fine. You need to live so it's ok." ROFL... How stupid would that be?

You think animals accept us killing and eating them? If animals had the intelligence to fight us off they would. They wouldn't want us to eat them either. But animals don't have that capability.

The only thing is.... We aren't animals. And yes, with intelligence, and the ability to think about the future, it's safe to say we are above every other creature here on Earth. We aren't equal to animals, but we are equal to every other human being.

And you wouldn't care if your wife and children got eaten? Wow, either there is something terribly wrong with you must be some animistic vegetarian.

Or-- I'm just messing around on the forums to stir up people :P .

zomg these counter trolls are so poignant! I mean when I think of Claymore the thing I want to talk about is the moral compass of the early throwaway villains.......

Who cares about yoma anyway? The last one's we saw were from when Clare was going to Riful's place, and before them it was like episode 6. The show isn't about yoma, it's about yoma hunters (which includes AB's since they are former yoma hunters) so the yoma really don't matter.

Nonsense. How are humans not animals? Animals don't just include the wild beasts in the forest. Aside from intelligence, humans are just like every other living creature when it comes to animalistic instincts like hunger.

Our lives are much more sophisticated than every other animal, but that does not put us outside of the food chain.

most humans see themselves as higher than animals. from their point of view, this is quite correct. they are humans, therefore it is logical that they'd consider their species' survival more important than another's. that's an instinctual reasoning and the reason why humans are so successful. if you think about it, acting against this is called "inhumane".

imo, animals obey instincts (humans do to... so draw your conclusions). only when people stop thinking that they somehow owe someone because they simply look like them, then they'll be able to stop calling themselves animals (well, its a first step anyways).

    on topic

Its true that this show isn't about Yoma, the same way that Bleach isn't about Hollows. imo, its a shame. While its still a great show, wouldn't it be great to have third (or fifth) faction of powerful non-AB Yomas?

The steak on my plate is nowhere near my equal. To suggest that a cow and I are remotely similar is ridiculous.

And to make this post worthwhile: Thanks, Yuki, for the info. I was wondering what happened to my Claymore fix. Raki's sudden, ignorant predicament has somehow piqued my interest in his character and situation. Before he met up with Priscilla and Isley I didn't a crap about him.
