What a bad place to end the episode. It's a consolation that next week's episode should have the majority of the battles completed.
Clare continues to develop not through shameless power ups, but rather thinking, developing, and training the skills she's already gained. It's a very nice change from the typical shonen format.
Flora's voice really didn't seem to fit at all, she sounded like an 8 year old when she first appeared. Either I got used to it, or her VA sounded more natural by the end of the episode. I see there are already a lot of Flora fans around.
Miria is a great leader, but if what she says is true, this won't be a fun time for a lot of the Claymores.
I thought making Flora sound like a little girl fit really well, it fit with her whole, dainty exterior tough as nails interior aspect. It was cool hearing her talk like a little kid as she admonished the Claymores and Wind Cut the snow away.
When Rubel(was that his name?) said that they chopped of Galatea's head I was like WTF!!! She was one of the coolest Claymores!!! How can she just die?!!

This episode was awesome. I was wondering if there would ever be a dual-wielding Claymore and then they introduced Undine. I wonder what she has up her sleeve, probably the most interesting new Claymore in that episode to me. Only because I think dual-wielding owns.

From what Deneve said about her behind her back (though it was well within earshot), it seems like Undine is exactly what she appears to be, a big dumb brute. She boasts being strongest of all Claymores, hence the dual wielding, but how well will that help against the Awakened she's fighting with Flora/Clare's team?
I suppose it will make decapitating the other Claymores easier for her.
I hate Undine. Manly anime girls is not my cup of tea.

I think Helen with her stretchy arm is as close to ranged combat as they get.
Swords and "ranged combat" generally don't mesh.
It's definitely not a very fitting name. When I hear the term "undine", I think of this:
One additional thing to consider here is that we have already seen quite a number of Claymores in total. And when you meet a big number of any people, it becomes more or less probable you will get individuals with weirder voices (or accents or such) and other peculiar aspects. That's true for the real world and thus should be also for a good series. While I also initially wondered about that little girl voice, I deemed it a good thing after all.
The exact same thing actually goes for Undine, as well. It was about the time we got a bodybuilder woman in as well. There had to be some.

Or maybe that's the only reason why she would survive... maybe killing off some of the other Claymores would have more impact. It really depends on how you look at it.
clare really seems to be making some high end friends. First miria, then jeane and galatea, and now it seems like she'll make in impact of flora as well. It would be kool to see a revolt against the organization sometime in the future, with all the high level calymores teaming up.
