Wait... was there an official announcement as to when the fillers would be ended? From everything I have read, it seems like people are saying ep. 200 is the end of the fillers?
Anyways, has anyone compared some of the "copy and paste" style Naruto shadow clones to the ones in the intros of of the earliest episodes... the animation on the intros just rocks (the ones made especially for the intro)... I mean, damn, if they put that much effort into the beginning of the non-fillers... I'd be way too happy.

If they timeskip September, the manga will have a headstart 40 episodes worth (normal 2 chapters => 1 episode ratio). So probably two seasons, then back to filler-country. Or they make the timeskip, and add little filler-arcs in between. But I sincerely doubt they can postpone the timeskip much longer. Jiraiya postponeing their training all the time gets ridiculous.

I just started watching naruto on episode 55 I think now So i have to hurry and catch up before fillers end
Too be more or less exact; to the date of this post 56 fillers have aired consequtively since the last fully manga inspired episode (one, maybe two, episodes of filler had a small portion of manga material in them) and from the titles of episodes released to date I would say the next 5 episodes will also be filler. After that I can't say, but I have 0 hopes for the Naruto anime and mange reconciliation, so when/if it does happen i'll be that much happier about it.
Something I just realized, it's been over a year since the fillers started, and I imagine several of you non-manga readers have forgotten parts of the original story. That being said, it's also quite possible that you won't like the material presented from the manga at all, there are obviously debates and such in the manga readers section so remember not to become too obsessed with the idea that the manga storyline will magically awe you completely and totally and you'll like it no matter what. Though I imaging a cohearant long term plot will be enough for many people to be happy again.

When Naruto returns to its original storyline it will kick ass and all the non-manga readers will definitely have multiple orgasms. FULL STOP.
I didn't like Naruto "no matter what" before the fillers but because it was a good series (and even the fillers are tolerable). And so it will be judged also after the fillers. And I believe this is true for great many people. No doubt among Naruto fans there are, as well, lots of viewers who do have obsessive opinions, but that's their choice. Whatever floats your boat is fine. We are here for fun, and what's fun is personal for everybody.
Well let's all hope, I don't see why the animiators are doing this, they are probably loosing alot of fanbase in Japan. I can't wait to hear about the American version views talk about the fillers not stopping!
I like how everyone thinks that Naruto is losing it's fanbase in Japan when it's in fact just as popular as it always has been.
KIDS, people. KIDS. KIDS WATCH NARUTO. Would you care about fillers when you were 8 years old? No, you'd love this just as much as the manga material.
I doubt they'll know they are fillers here in the US. From what I can tell manga isn't anywhere near as popular as stuff like Toonami and Adult Swim, though i'm starting to doubt that, from the types of people I see in the manga sections of bookstores I frequent.

It will be about Naruto forgetting how to perform kage bunshin, and how he'll consequently turn defenseless.
That, or he forget the third stage of the Rasengan and we have an enitre arc on Naruto rel-learning the third stage and getting his memory back, since simply learning it means he will forget it again (Memento style).
Sakura is going to hit naruto, he'll fly away landing on his head suffering a memory loss. Tsunade is going to order anbu to redo all of narutos life so he can get his memories back.
