Manga: Akumetsu

Well, just wondering if any of you have checked this manga out. It's an awesome manga, and I think many of you will like it.

They've just released chapters 18 and 19.

Anyways, I hope some of you guys gives this manga a try because it's great.

Nagasawa Shiina was just your average 3rd year high schooler when her parents' company went bankrupt. In order to pay the bills, her family sells her into prostitution. At her first job, a mysterious masked man crashes the party...and its someone she knows...

Akumetsu is the story of Hazama Shou, who defends his own view of justice in a vigilante manner while wearing a mask and calling himself Akumetsu.

Yeah I been following this manga and its awesome. The main character is just really cool and badass for me and the plot is pretty good. This is a nice kind of political manga with some great violence and just one cool main character.

Nice chapters as always, but not much happened. They were like setup chapters for the next arc. I wonder what the video is all about.

It's a bit awkward, but likeable and a bit gorey. The art is quite unique. The main character is pretty unique and what not. I'd love to see more development though.

It's 18 volumes long, so there's no doubt that there will be some development... just in the recent chapter it seemed like we're heading in that direction.

Even though it has been fun so far, I think Akumetsu needs some sort of rival that can exploit any weakness he may have. I also liked how he introduced himself to the father as his daughter's boy friend.

We got some real development in this chapter, with Shou talking about his past and mentions how he came to be who he is. More information and details are needed, but he at the least makes mention of the broad aspect of it.

Anyways, this group needs to step it up... 18+ volumes to do, and 1 chapter every 5 months or so is not cutting it.

Just read up to chapter 59... they've been releasing the series in a very consistent manner as of late, which is nice.

I think the latest arc has been very interesting, with the copy cat killers, the special investigator, and more importantly the fake Akumetsu. I also like how they've been more detailed in showing us how the various Shou's interact with one another. With the focus on the current Shou, I wonder if we'll simply shift from one Shou to another in the various arcs, and I wonder if we'll ever go back and see more of the one we had seen the opening arcs with that chick that was in love with him, Shiina I think was her name.

Well the series has been scanlated up to chapter 105. Bumping this up one more time to see if anyone here is keeping up or decided to read it.

The last couple of chapters have been good since we're finally looking at Shou's past and on how he became what he is today. Other than that, it has been more of the same, killing corrupt people in interesting ways.

I find myself loving the main character. He has that certain Light Yagami appeal that not many anti-heros give out this well

I really don't care much about what is going on, particularly with all the politcal and economic crap. I just love how he goes about killing people in creative ways. A few chapters ago we learned through a flashback of the origin of Akumetsu, it was good. But other than that, it can get a bit repetitive. I hope we get more screen time for Shou at school and the chick classmate.
