    What people are searching for...

    An interesting, and pretty hilarious, site I came across today.

    It lists various key words and web searches in real-time. The searches I've seen so far have ranged from boring, to funny, to pretty out there, and then just plain fucked up. It's awesome. I've taken to playing a little game, trying to see how many searches in a row aren't porn-related. So far it's only been about 14.

    I know more of these types of sites exist, so if you know or have heard of one that works better, please post it here.

    Also, what's up with people searching for URLs??

    Heh. Quite funny searches indeed. And some disturbing like you said. And that 14 looked like a reliable estimate indeed. Some "animals sex with women" (wtf?) always pops up sooner or later.

    I have sometimes seached for urls, if I don't want to type the url in the address bar. Maybe I'm a little weird, but I use the drop-down list of the address bar like bookmarks for certain places I visit very often, and so I don't want some extra one-time urls to clutter it. Now, no need to tell me it's not meant to be used like that... I know, I know.

    One strong characteristic of the Finnish language is a very high ratio of vowels compared to consonants. So, either that guy was screwing around or he's a German (which has the opposite true for the vowel-consonant ratio).

    I do the EXACT same thing. My bookmarks list is really full and cluttered, so I keep my sites that I check daily in my address bar drop down list. I get kindof annoyed when other people use my computer and type in urls and mess up my neat little list, so I set it to clear after 2 days. So yeah, I type url's into google fairly frequently.
