It looks like Yoshimori is getting closer to controlling that reddish aura. Or if not controlling, at least being able to tap into the whatever power it represents. No doubt it will play a role in his battle against the enemy bosses. It will be good to see Masamori in a serious fight as well. We haven't actually yet seen that happen.
One that hasn't changed recently at all, though, is Yoshimori and Tokine's relationship. I guess not that much is to be expected, considering this is pretty much an action shounen series, but I hope at least something will happen before we run out of episodes. Yoshimori was really interested in her, after all, but after Gen got himself killed, all the attention shifted there.
Yeah, I'm eager to watch Masamori do quick work of the the little bitches coming to fight. I really like Shion, hopefully they'll show more of here in the series and she doesn't simply dies in this battle.

Also of note 46 and 47 are in encoding while 45 had a slight error they are fixing and expect it around feb 3rd at the earliest.
Also as for some bad news it appears this will only be 52 episodes total which won't get to the end of the series atleast unless further information comes out to say otherwise.

Well 52 episodes will be perfect to finish Kokubourou arc as they will really want to screw it up and have out of the blue, and have Yoshimori seal Karasumori. Which i whole heartedly believe they won't do. So this leaves us with season 2.

bummer, from what they're saying on that forum it looks as if Kekkaishi isn't too popular in Japan. Fingers crossed for season 2.
Yeah it isn't, and I don't know why. Apparently Samurai Champloo wasn't that popular either, and those 'Naruto Top Fights' in that one episode of Naruto were absolutely horrible. I wish a majority of anime watchers in Japan had better taste..

Well I believe the reason for popularity problems was explained in the timeslot of 1-2AM which I highly doubt is good for ratings regardless of show.
Anyway as for the episodes they were all awesome and action packed major fights going on everywhere as they rampage through the castle I can't wait for more. The downside is thats it for this batch of releases the rest are still waiting on translation it seems.
Ohh so that's the reason. Is it perhaps popular for that timeslot? Also, I don't read the manga, but is the manga ahead enough for another season?

Poke around the thread on the other forum and they state Kekkaishi was actually quite popular over in japan and there was enough fan backlash to it being canceled that it was put on some better time slots as well. So more in the future isn't unheard of it seems that April is suppose to have a drop in anime across the board in japan.
As for the manga I have no clue how much there is vs how much is translated but onemanga.com has the first 137 chapters or so translated.
Scanlations are on volume 14 while raws are on volume 21 and ongoing. Anime ends on volume 14. Through i hope they prove me wrong

I think the manga is up to 18 volumes. The anime is going to end around vol 10-11, so there should be plenty of material for the second season.
Also I did some poking around, thanks to protest its now being shown on two channels, one at 9:30 AM. That should boost viewers.
