In the meantime, was ep 24 filler? I don't quite remember reading about this part of the storyline in the manga...
How far has the manga gone anyway? Is it finished already?

According to manga-updates it's at 18 volumes and still ongoing. I guess that's why anidb has this series at unknown amount of episodes slotted for.
Edit: @ Honoko, what chapter/volume is this episode in the manga? I have the urge to read the scanlations due to the rather slow releases, and wanting to know what's going on.

I knew monsters bursting out of human skin seemed familiar, and I finally realized that it feels like Guyver. Man I liked that series a lot when I was a kid, though it was a bit gorey.
Finally caught up, was like 10 episodes behind.
Pretty good stuff as of late, things have gotten quite interesting since Shishio appeared, he's a cool character. I wonder who the final bad guys will be, because I don't think this group will be it... I have a feeling that the Urakai have some ulterior motives that will end up making the Kekkaishi their enemy. And Yoshimori's brother is as fishy as ever. I still can't tell if he's one of the good guys.
Looks like we'll see more of him on the next episode, and some more of that demon-user girl, I really like her. They should use her more.
By the way, any of you remember in what episodes were Yoshimori's mother and Tokine's father shown?

Pretty good episode, and next one is a background episode of Shishio which should be good... with him trying to kill his sister and all.
Aye. This was a good episode. Yoshimori has such a nice relationship with his brother. It's an interesting family altogether. Like Bud said earlier, it's impossible to judge if the brother is really a good guy or not. Keeps things more interesting.
I liked finally seeing Masamori show some glimpse of ... you know ... not being god.
Yep. He seems a tad overpowered before, making it seem impossible for Yoshimori, the official inheritor, to surpass him. But he will, thats a fact in this kind of show.

If what the mummy guy said about him being part ayakashi is true then we'll probably see Yoshi use some crazy super power once and then be scolded by every single cast member and told never to use it again, which he will obviously not do.
I hope it doesnt go that way. It would be a lot better to gain a power that can be used regularly (even if it does have a cost) instead of a one try killer move.
Still, it might be a nice development for Yoshi to use such a power to save Tokine, making him get terribly injured or lose consciousness indefinitely. That should give some real development between the two.
