Yeah. I was a little disappointed after this episode. I don't know why they made Tokine act like that. But perhaps it's just reverse psychology; maybe she in reality likes Yoshimori and is thus pushing him away for whatever reasons.

Still, what pissed me off worst was how Yoshimori didn't get angry at all after the rest of the famility ate all the cakes he had had so much trouble to acquire. Just what manner of saint is he? No doubt his grandfather acts like a real jackass all the time because Yoshimori has any balls only when facing demons.

Tokine obviously likes Yoshimori, but probably doesnt know it herself and thinks that its because Yoshimori is too undependable that she worries. She pushes him away because she probably cant accept that she likes a weirdo (in her view) like him.

    Episode 11 and 12:

    [Yoroshiku]_Kekkaishi_-_11_[E055633C].avi
    [Yoroshiku]_Kekkaishi_-_12_[C6EAC6CB].avi

I didn't really see much point in the three minions of Kouya except for humor.

Yeah. They hardly served any purpose. They weren't really used to make Kouya seem more gentle by taking care of underlings, and they certainly played no real part in the fight. And since Yoshimori was also pretty much out of the fight, it's not like they really needed those doods to keep Tokine occupied.

Well, minor characters aside, they were pretty badass episodes. Never thought the spirit dog would be like that if the seal is broken.

I've just watched all 12 episodes in one seating, and is now downloading episode 13. I like what I see so far, and hopefully the story will be continue to be as good.

Well, we're getting very close to were the scanlations are up to. From what I can see, they've done a pretty good adapatation of the manga, so I'm glad for that. And finally, Masamori has arrived, he's always been a secretive guy, I wonder what he's up to. Hopefully the other Kekkaishis will become as good as Masamuri because his multiple techniques looked very good. The techniques of Yoshimori and Tokine have been very boring and dull, so at least we have Masamuri's techniques to look forward to.

Also, it seems like we're entering some sort of arc with some organization or "boss" behind it from what that spider said that he was sent by someone and from what the Yagyou said.

This episode kind of smelled like a filler, but it was pretty nice nonetheless. Slice of life style, with Yoshimori's little brother in the middle. Best part of course was how Toshimori described his poor brother in order to keep his friends in check...

I enjoyed this particular episode too. It's a good break from always going back to the school at night. And I loved the part where Yoshimori opens the door in his cake making attire after all the hype built up by his brother.

And by the way, great avatar Kraco!

I haven't watched this episode as I'm not really interested in it, but I'm pretty sure that there was a chapter in the manga that dealt with the little brother and his friends, so there's a high probability that this wasn't really a filler, even though it does take a break from the main storyline.

An interesting episode. So far this series has been steadily getting better and better, and it doesn't look like that trend would be changing any time soon. Jolly good. To be honest, I didn't expect much from this series when it began, but it surely did prove my expectations wrong.

Finally got around to watching 19 & 20. I wonder why Yoshimori's Kekkai are getting stronger, he doesn't seem to have been doing much new training or learning, other than learning that being closer is better. I noticed he's more or less perfected the air walk though, which may explain it. Tokine finally getting the power she has in the opening was cool too, I've always thought the Kekkai technique had a lot of interesting uses and I'm glad they're showing it through the growth of the charachters.

One thing that bugs me more and more though it Tokine's relationship with Yoshimori, I know that he likes her and she claims to not like him (lies of course), but she's always butting into his buisness when he's doing stuff that she disagrees with and it's starting to get on my nerves. Whatever weird nonsense he was about to test out before she interrupted her was his buisness and she should have just left it alone. He generally manages to handle his problems but she never seems to recognize that he can fix his mistakes.

I think that's psychologically somewhat believable (in anime terms at least): She has never admitted to herself she likes Yoshimori, and thus her caring for him has taken the form of a kind of overprotective older sister. And she's butting into his business because she likes him, yet has no other ways of showing it as long as she's not honest with herself. And why she seems to be holding Yoshimori back is not probably enviousness, at least for the major part, but simple lack of understanding, because she could never have the potential for what Yoshimori is trying to achieve in more ways than one.

A new guy and a new chance for Yoshimori to fear Tokine will this time fall for him.

Well, anyway, I hope this new dude brings something into the story. So far he has mainly been waste of space that could have been used instead to develop Yoshimori and his techniques. Well, if he serves as an incentive for Yoshimori to get stronger faster then I guess it's ok.

I'm getting really tired of the Yoshimori-Tokine situation. He has no chance with her, and I wish he and the writers would just admit that and focus on the rest of the story elements. Even without romance the two make a good team and seeing them develop their teamwork more would be preferable to watching Yoshimori stumble over himself trying to court her.
