Yes, it was pretty much obvious.

so much that it'd be really cool if it wasn't him... like hermit just looks like him a bit... and he it's just that he took some martial art classes or something and had no real talent for it... If it was Gurren Lagan, i'd really think this would happen. Kenichi however has been a pretty straightforward show so far.

never said that, never ment, never implied that. All I was saying that Doremi was on vacation or rathar key members on their team were, but now that it is over they are once again fansubbing.....

But didn't kuro hana just picked the show because Umai Doremi were slow/absent?

What’s the deal with Kenichi?
We decided to pick this up when umai-doremi were going slow on it. Now that they have picked up the pace and are getting 1-2 episodes out a week, we aren’t going to bother going up against them, if they decide to go back to being slow, we might decide to pick it up again.
Update: Due to Doremi’s Translators & main encoder for Kenichi going away on vacation for 4 weeks, we have decided to resume our subbing of Kenichi.

It's very possible they're using Chinese translated RAWs, or maybe even Chinese fansubs that they're tling the subs for and reencoding on their own raws.

As of episode 26, the anime has surpassed the scanlations, so this is new territory for me.
