I'm somehow reminded of Ai Yori Aoshi...
except that Aoi never kicked that much ass...
What part of it reminds you of Aoi?
Peace.
the whole "estranged but dear and largely-forgotten childhood friend reenters your life" motif, mainly.
Ooh, I thought you referred to the character of Aoi herself. Yeah, that would be true. Still, this coincidence doesnt really feel like something being revealed, but rather, something suddenly made up at a whim to add to the plot. It doesnt really have decent references from before, and just feels too random.
Peace.
Sort of like if it were the first episode of a romantic comedy, instead of the 40th episode of a martial arts comedy you mean?
I dunno, the fact that the badge has been there since the beginning and that Miu did very pointedly notice it way back in the beginning says something to the series having a little bit of forethought, at least. But yeah, even with the groundwork in place, it still felt pretty contrived.
Also, both Miu and Aoi have atypically large knockers for Japanese people, and unusual hair colors. See, there ARE character parallels >_<
With romantic comedies its a given, due to the stupid plot and repetitive pattern they use (well most of them). This show just didnt need it.
Peace.

I don't remember if it has been said where Miu's dad comes from, but surely not Japan. He looks like a Viking. And in the scandinavian countries there are enough people with large knockers and the blond hair colour is not entirely unknown (are there even other hair colours than that in Sweden, aside from the input of immigrants?).Originally Posted by complich8

Just a question to the perhaps more knowledgeable members on this board (I hadn't seen it addressed and maybe I missed something glaring)...
Why exactly did Hermit stab himself near the end of ep. 34? The only explanation I have for that is that maybe he didn't want that chick to be able to wield her knife freely, and the only way to stop her was to sheath it...in his pectoral muscle. But that honestly doesn't seem like a very good explanation. If he had just delivered the "Backhand Service" and then jumped down afterward, he'd have been fine for the fight against Kenichi.
a poorly done plot advancement, thats all it was. I laughed at that scene too.
haha, okay, thanks for the clear-up. The oddity of his stabbing himself was in fact vastly overshadowed by the pure OWN of that ace he delivered to basically #20's entire body. The quiver and sticking to the wall = amazing.
Of course, what's even more amazing was the exit that Odin used after warning Hermit. Odin, while a great fighter, shouldn't have any actual powers (it would be out of place, and I don't think his aura/ki shield actually counts as a power in that category). So his training allowed him to leave in such a manner. This man is too strong.

Haven't Kuro-Hana released 42 also? I found someone with it on DC. Although i have no idea if it's real. but I'm sure you people can find out. And then maybe put up a link to a torrent for the rest of the group.
yeah, theirs was out about 10 minutes before umai-doremi's.
Kuro-hana Kenichi 42 over there.
