Kenichi - 36 - [kuro-hana]
Another fun water ep, but it also exercised the "girl who offers you herself and makes the girl you originally wanted overly jealous, even though she doens't admit she likes you" cliché which was meh.
Fundoshi FTW....for Shigure.
lol funny ep
This series needs to be longer, not enough comedy series out there and this one makes you feel good watching it. Who doesnt like big breasted women and martial arts?
It's already 52 eps, I wouldn't want it to drag on and end up sucking, though there's probably enough material that it could be epic if they wanted it to be.
You sure? Anime News Network says theres only 38 episodes, is there a better site to check out to know how many episodes a series is or will be? Thanks for the good news by the way =)Originally Posted by Yukimura
According to mahou's info page it's 52, and AniDB has dates for 1-46. The raw for 38 is out so I'll check if it has a preview as well.
EDIT: Confirmed 38 has a preview, and it doesn't look anything like part of a final battle.

Great episode, but I can't wait for the next one... looks like it'll have major Shigure action.

Anidb clearly says unknown number of episodes, Wiki says:Originally Posted by Yukimura

Plus the manga is still ONGOING. I would actually be suprised if it stopped at 52, I mean Hajime no ippo is still going, but it had at least 75 episodes, 1 special and one OVA.
Hunter x Hunter had 62 eps, 8 ep ova, 8 ep greed island and 14 ep greed island final, that's 92 episodes for 23 volumes ( prolly even less since the anime stopped before the manga went on hiatus. )
Kenichi currently has 38 eps aired and 24 volumes of manga... I would be really suprised if they stopped at 52.

Wow really loving how the plot is leading to. Found it funny how kenichi kept trying to stop mui from going into the ally. To think with all that trainning he would have put more of a effort.
Kenichi - 39 - [umai-Doremi]
Rice Spoon > *
I just noticed somthing, umai-Doremi's subs are not as helpful as kuro-hana's since they don't seem to put in TL notes. In the pool episode (36 I think) they didn't explain why Miu powered up when Kenichi was half drowned. Kuro-hana explained that it was a play on words, which made it actually funny. Also WTF is a Walkyrie? At first I thought this was a typo but it appeared pretty consistently. Is it not obvious they are trying to say Valkyire? Odin the ruler, Freya, Loki the Trickster, Seigfried the Invulnerable, Thor the Mighty...all names from Norse mythology so why would the little weapon squad not be the Valkyries?
Although I myself preffer Valkyries, Walkyries is also apparently an acceptable spelling. The only explanation I can come up with is that the Japanese use the German pronunciation (Walküre) and spell it as Warukyure, so maybe Walkyries sounds closer to what is being said and hence why they opted to use that pronunciation.
It's easy to see that what is being meant is Valkyries, so I am pretty sure that they used Walkyries on purpose and that it wasn't because they mistakenly translated it.
