    Game: Final Fantasy III

is it just me or is square-enix just hitting gamers hard this year? final fantasy xii, children of mana, dawn of mana, and now this. anyways, as far as visuals go, this one has all of it, but what about gameplay and story? how much do you think has been altered from the original? anyways, still looks promising.

all your visual needs are right here!

It's funny, this is the second FF game (first being FFTacticsAdvance) where I almost believed that the main characters were all female (damn ambiguous art style).

As for what's been changed from the original, I cannot even begin to guess. This'll be like an entirely brand-new FF for me.

The FF3 that has been remade for the DS is the Famicom(NES) FF3 that was never released in USA, not the SNES American FF3.

Well what do you know, even retards can appreaciate awesome games. Too bad you were thinking of the wrong one.

Anyway, nice to see that FF3 finally hits the US (and hopefully also europe) officially. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it's the only one which hasn't been released outside Japan before right? Well I don't have a DS, but hey, gogo emulation.

I don't believe FF2 was released in the US either, although I could be wrong. If it were, it was probably so late in the cycle that it vanished.

First US release was in the Origins collection, back in the dying days of PSX.

Durr, and I have that game too.

I was thinking of the original NES release.

i'm lead to believe that this is final fantasy 5, which they are calling 3, because 3 is 5 and 5 is 3. confusing, yeah? they just switched some things around.

    Info on FF3 DS:

The FF3 that was released in the US on the SNES was FF6 in Japan.
    Info on FF6 (SNES version):

FF5 is a completely different game entirely:

FFV and VI are being re-released on GBA soon. Should be fun.
