Sounds interesting. The French have made some good movies, and, with no ill intentions, if the budget is 20M euros, then it could be better it's not an American production. Most really good American films have much larger budgets, while European ones have significantly smaller. So, perhaps working with that sum of money is more natural to Europeans. Still, lets hope the movie won't turn out to be boring and will have its action in place...
That sounds awesome. I hope they don't turn it into something like Elektra, though. O_o;;
Being that is going to be european, its probably a sure thing that is going to be more drama than action.

Drama is a lot cheaper than action, that's for sure... But yeah, that's quite likely.
The producer will be the same as Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, and Hero had, which is promising, at least. Hero is one of my favorite movies.

She is perfect for thr role
She has the looks
I only saw a few minutes of Blood (anime), but it was pretty cool.
The actress doesn't look...scary or severe enough? o.o
o.0.....this thread is 2 years old. is the movie still being made even?
Yeah, I saw a recent thread (other forum) somewhere. A few months back.
o.o Any news on it?
What's the deal?? The actress is Korean. This is getting ridiculous.
“For God will not permit that we shall know what is to come... those who by some sorcery or by some dream might come to pierce the veil that lies so darkly over all that is before them may serve by just that vision to cause that God should wrench the world from its heading and set it upon another course altogether and then where stands the sorcerer? Where the dreamer and his dream?”
But she's cute? =)
But IMO, Saya came across as a bit Goth. Kinda....dark.
There are plenty of beautiful Japanese actresses who could play the role.
Which one did you consider goth? The tv series Saya or the OAV Saya? Because I thought the tv series Saya was a complete ditz.

Yeah. They did good casting with the NANA movie. When Mika was in it, anyway.
OAV one. The movie thingy? ^^; An hour long I think. Or more.
She came across as badass.

A Japanese vampire movie that took three years to make? I have high expectations for this film.

Trailer looks amazing. I'm tempted to give the anime a try. Downloading the anime movie now....
"Our hearts are full of memories but not all of them reflect the truth. The heart isn't a recording device. Even important memories change with time. They warp or fade, leaving us with but a shadow of what we hoped to remember." 天の道を行き、全てを司る。これは僕の世界。
Very very awesome trailer, seems pretty fateful to the anime but I really despise the wire-fu running in air jumps, those things only belong in crounching tiger.
Other then that looks great.

20M€ only, fuck this is good.
Btw wire fu needs to be left up in it's grave.
I own the anime movie on dvd, but wasn't really a fan of the anime. Not because it was bad, but I just wasn't able to get into it for some reason.
But the live action movie looks like it could be pretty good. Not a fan of the floaty crouching tiger effects, but I'll definitely give it a look when it comes out.
