<@Terra> he told me this, "man actually meeting terra is so fucking big", and he started crying. Then he bought me hot dogs
well, at least the spin off games won't suck...
unless they get EA to make a shitty PSP adapttion of it and turn into a 'van hellsing' like game...
Guess Konami's using this to test the waters before sending out the coveted Metal Gear Solid title.
A "Castlevania: the Movie" game? Well, there WAS that "Street Fighter: the Movie" game... That still sounds too bizarre.well, at least the spin off games won't suck...

I agree with you on all of those except for Resident Evil. Sure it wasn't oscar winning quality, but it wasn't bad either. Hell, other than the Romero movies, it's probably one of the better zombie movies. Much better than the horrible remake of Dawn of the Dead.Originally Posted by XanBcoo

What the hell is wrong with the first Mortal Kombat movie?

Silent Hill is the best movie based on a game ever. It should be the basis on which the others are judged. Remove that link NAO!Originally Posted by SamuraiOdin
Also, I grew up watching the Super Mario Brothers movie, el_boss. I didn't have it in me to list it as a "bad movie" .

When I first watched the Mortal Kombat movie I didn't understand what was going on. That's my first videogame movie reference. The last I remember is, uh, Final Fantasy, which was pretty corny, and Resident Evil which had Michelle Rodriguez and therefore it was bad.
I hope Castelvania will be good, but I worry. What's that thing about making a movie that spawns several centuries? I know there are Castelvania games for every age, but they're meant to be confined to that time... no time-jumps. I'd rather have a movie that focuses on how the Belmonts came into contact with Dracula instead of one with the first Belmont and then a future Belmont and then one in the middle.
Oh, and they better not screw up Dracula... I've always liked how Castelvania games portray him, all elegance and class, not just a scary thing with fangs...
God, please let this movie be better than Van Helsing.

Maybe it will be as good as this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V4we8iFk-fY
I have to say that I'm cautiously optimistic about this movie since I've liked most of Paul Andersons previous movies(Event horizon, soldier, Aliens Vs. Predator, Mortal combat and the resident evil films). His track record with games to film is pretty good and as long as they don't end up with a crappy Van helsing copy(damn was that film a waste of money) It should be good.
