Another Street Fighter movie
Live-Action Movie Focussing on Chun Li Due out in 2008
Variety reports that Hyde Park Entertainment and Capcom are preparing to produce a new live-action movie adaptation of Street Fighter.
The popular video-game franchise was last adapted into a live-action movie, starring Jean Claude Van Damme as Colonel Guile, in 1994. This time the movie will focus on Chun Li, however no actress has been named for the part.
Justin Marks, who recently completed work on the upcoming Voltron movie, will adapt the script. Hyde Park hopes to release the movie in 2008, and is selling the project at this week's Santa Monica Film Market.
Street Fighter has also been adapted into numerous anime and manga, including Street Fighter Alpha: Generations, which saw a North American release last year by Manga Entertainment.

I wonder if this one will stink as badly as the Van Damme one. Street Fighter: The Movie together with Super Mario defined the term "bad video game movies".
"Our hearts are full of memories but not all of them reflect the truth. The heart isn't a recording device. Even important memories change with time. They warp or fade, leaving us with but a shadow of what we hoped to remember." 天の道を行き、全てを司る。これは僕の世界。
