Wow, the script that was posted before made me think this would be a pretty weak chapter, but now that I read it along with the images.... wow, it's rather touching. Bye Asuma, we'll miss you! You were a nice background character, always.

And Shikamaru, blaming the smoke for his tears... well, it was obvious that the smoke had nothing to do with it, but it was still a nice touch.

I guess they'll go back to the village and we'll have a few wrap-up chapters with Kurenai and, perhaps, Shikamaru will be nice enough to tell the readers who or what the "king" is.

What if Kurenai is preagnet and the king he so much wanted to protect is the baby. but then again this is shonen manga so I doubt it.

Nooo, Asuma! Maybe this will trigger Chouji to actually go on a diet and he'll look all weird like he did when he went into butterfly mode.

Anyway, this was an okay chapter. Although I'm not entirely sure why he entrusted Shikamaru and Chouji under Ino since she's the most responsible or something... yeah, I don't know. And the whole "don't lose to Sakura" thing was just dumb.

I think the king is probably Naruto or something.
