Thread: Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion

  1. #701
Kraco I was talking about Suzaku's shipeel reminding me of the anti Kira arguments not about Lelouch being similar to Light. Lelouch doesn't remind me of Light beyond that they both go against the status quo but Suzaku's whining about how Lelouch was so wrong and didn't deserve to exist was what got to me since L said similar things about Kira, albeit for slightly different reasons.

Oh, sorry. I must have read what you wrote really carelessly. My mistake.

Just watched the new Picture book, great eye candy, especially Cornelia's swimsuit. It also garnered a few chuckles, especially the Darlton pants fiasco.

Code Geass was the #1 series of last season. It even topped the almighty Death Note.

Who wants to hop on that bandwagon with me?

I think its because those two get too much focus (but I maintain that C.C. can never get enough focus), so they decided to give attention to the others.

Best series last season? This is the best series of all time for me (at least up to season 1), and C.C. gets best female character of all time, Lelouch gets best male character of all time, and Suzaku gets the best irritating character of all time, and etc etc. Well, C.C. should be awarded best character of all, without any distinctions. Its such a superb mix of everything that makes anime great, with comedy, action, suspense, mystery, mecha, romance, heck, what isnt in code geass. And they pull it off perfectly too.

    Haruhi > C.C.

    ...I'm sorry

I'll agree that Lelouch is the best male character of all time.

I'ma burn your Board in the Flame Pit if you even dare to suggest such Heresy Again.
    C.C. > ALL

O and I'm on the Bandwagon with ya. Make that +2.

Edit: Saber is a very very very infinitesimally close second. =P

Are you suggesting that Saber > Haruhi? Blasphemy! I'll let C.C. slide but Saber is pushing it.

    C.C. wins on several levels.

    1) She's voiced by Yukana. Full Metal Panic Tessa's Yukana. Only she sounds so evil, and oozes sensuality in an odd way. It's part of the reason we see a connection between her and Lelouch so clearly so early. Aya Hirano and Ayako Kawasumi both have a lot of talent, but Yukana's role here wins hands down over all others. The amount of personality put into C.C. exceeds that of most characters I've seen in anime overall. It's hard for me to think of a role that stands out quite so well against a VA's body of work, maybe Megumi Toyoguchi's Revy in Black Lagoon.

    2) The storyline itself categorizes her as "the Witch." Countering her is Euphie as "the Princess." An excellent title for that episode by the way. We get the story of the princess and her knight, but they're just side characters to the main characters, the anti-heroes. The Witch and her warlock. A far more interesting premise.

    3) Green hair, her prisoner outfit (the one she wears nearly all the time until the pilot suit for the Gawain), and her mysterious forehead symbol. Amnesia that makes her "like the white snow." Plus she's got scars. She's damaged goods. I'll put her ridiculous goth loli outfit she wore while she and Lelouch were "rescuing" Shirley from Mao here as well.

    4) Speaking of Mao, after he got too annoying during her current plans with Lelouch, she finally ended it by shooting Mao in the throat. That's one mean Onee-san.

    5) Lelouch may be one of the smartest people in this series, but only C.C. continuously keeps him off balance until this recent finale.

    6) You get a pretty good idea what Haruhi is capable of fairly early. We still have no idea what C.C. really even is. She gets many more points for mysteriousness.

I think I've run out of ideas at this point.

C.C. might have a great deal of potential powers, but Haruhi is god.

A god with PMS! Don't bring that here! C.C. is Life!
Ryllharu, you've pointed out everything I'm too lazy to lookup.
(Not true, I'll do anything for C.C.! You just beat me to it!)

Even though I'm a Haruhiist if I had to chose between them I'd have to take C.C. with no hesitation. Haruhi is a goddess and fits that role well, as she's self-centered, strong-willed, and just a little insane. However C.C. is a person who will never let you down and won't drag you into her crazy chick neuroses. She'll just do her own thing (which will be awesome), but be there for you when everyone else is gone and the clock is running out. You just can't count on Haruhi for that kind of stuff. No character I've encountered has ever shown the kind of utter apathy blended with steadfast loyalty blended with humorous quirks all wrapped up in sex appeal and tied off with immortality. C.C for Best Female Character!

You forgot one thing: She's awesome(pretty much all you need to say).

    R.I.P Captain America.

Haruhi is very loyal and makes life interesting as long as you're on her good side (i.e. Kyon). She's also a prodigy in all facets of life.

You folks are forgetting how much pwn Haruhi is. It's understandable though. Code Geass just ended so it's still fresh in everyone's minds. You'll come to your sense again in a couple weeks.

I would choose Haruhi just because Lucifus already owns CC :P

Seriously... I suddenly want to eat Pizza Hut...

    EDIT:

Scratch that... I hunger for Geass DVD....
