The long wait for 24-25 was well worth it.

And the long wait for the next best thing continues once again..

I hope Suzuka dies along with his naive thoughts. His emotional outbursts annoys the crap out of me.. sorta reminds me of someone.

Some of the things in the episode was predictable, and some of the things weren't and shocked the hell out of me. Overall, It was a great conclusion for season 1 and damn it, whens season 2 coming out?!

I knew it! I knew there wasn't going to be any actual closure to this. This is the biggest cliffhanger ever.

That was one of the best concluding episodes ever, and also one of the worst.

Why? because it didnt really end anything. I am seriously planning to kill the anime creators of this show.

Lelouch and C.C. pairing fans rejoice, and then despair.

Lelouch and Kallen pairing fans, Im sorry.

Lelouch is dead. Suzaku saves Nunnally, obtains geass, and becomes the main character in the next season, with C.C. guest starring as the vengeful woman seeking revenge for Lelouch. If they even think of doing this, I may just kill them all, or kill myself.

C.C. reaction and message at the end was so vague. At first I though Lelouch had died, with her using the past tense to speak about his wishes (while in tears), but then she smiles at the very end... well, thats code geass for you.

I was also surprised at Kallen's reaction, but that would make sense given the situation. She simply assumed that Lelouch was merely using them all (which was technically true), and thats why she was so shocked.

Lelouch could have at least tried to explain what happened with Euphie to Suzaku, then maybe they could have avoided the shootout. But then again, Lelouch does stop thinking when Nunnally is involved.

I actually like Suzaku now (not the screaming though), because he finally gives in, and unconsciously acknowledges Lelouch's method by becoming like Lelouch himself. Im still surprised how easily he can want to kill his bestfriend, considering that Lelouch has had over 5 chances to kill him but never tried, or even thought of it. Assuming the worst possible scenario was just foolish, and really didnt seem to show much trust in Lelouch.

I loved the scene between C.C. and Lelouch, but they could have extended it and added details. The conversations between them, about being selfish etc was a really great touch though.

Can't be it, I thought him being a Britannian was revealed the ep he met the old guy to form an alliance.

Also Kinoue , sure she never really got any screen time but I liked her.

Viletta is just too cruel. She just killed him without saying a word. She should have at least thanked Ougi for taking care of her before shooting him.

  6. #666
Ougi didn't die though. She only shot him in the stomach. He's talking to Kallen on the phone and stuff telling her to go to Kagenejima Island or whatever.

I'll admit I said Kallen would cry half as a joke, but wow, I totally didn't expect her to actually cry.

A great way to end season 1. Completely satisfying, yet only makes you demand for more. I'll probably have more to say once I finish processing all of this.

@shinta|hikari: That's what I like so much about this series. You can both hate and like Lelouch and Suzaku. You're supposed to. Suzaku (at the beginning at least) had the "correct" approach. Change things from the inside slowly. He's a hero-type. But he's such a whiner, you have to hate him. Lelouch is the same. The audience likes how clever he is, but he's an asshole, and a real villain. He really is using all these people just to get his revenge and make a world he thinks will accept Nunnally.

Oh yeah baby ... Bring some more Code Geass.

That's the rational reaction, they wanted this feeling, and they succeeded.

A grand Bravo for the realisation team, and their mighty cliffhanghover

Bah! Yeah you're right. I keep thinking Ougi died. It's just that Viletta shot him so cold heartedly. Not even a word. She just grabbed the gun and shot him.

The scenarization put Ogi on the same level as Cornelia, both injured XOs sending orders, they'll live for sure.
And sheeiiitt, VV just die, just seeing your face for 8 frames makes me violent.

And what's with the WW2 tanks and a soldier with a Mauser Karabiner 98k and a Nuclear explosion ? Brain error ...

Hmm, I never really thought of Suzaku's approach as the "correct" (or even without the quotation marks) approach. I always thought that the only way things could have changed would be the way Lelouch was doing it, especially since he had the power to do so. If Suzaku's approach was really feasible, I wouldnt like Lelouch in the first place, since resorting to unnecessary violence (or unnecessary anything) is just foolish.

The reason why I like Suzaku now is because he is no longer the idealistic brat he used to be. He actually wants to kill his bestfriend, instead of like, convincing him to stop rebelling and shake hands with the royalty of Britannia. Its simple really. Suzaku just acquired the feelings Lelouch has had brewing within him for most of his life, which is hatred, and the desire for revenge.

I liked how Lelouch made Kallen cry though. If Lelouch said some flowery words like, "I want to free Japan for the sake of its people", Kallen would have shot Suzaku without a second thought. But he simply admitted his original intentions. Foolish, but cool.

Well, maybe Im just as much of a villain as Lelouch is.

EDIT: Oh, and Lelouch didnt do all of those things just because he wanted revenge and acceptance for Nunnally. He actually believed in what he was doing, that it was necessary, and that he was right. In Britannia, power really was justice, and the lack of it was evil, and he wanted to change that (of course, for the sake of Nunnally as well). I really liked the text at the end of the episode, the one that said "I am not wrong, the world is.", and I kind of agree.

I'm just making an hypothesis here ... but what if Lelouch dies and Suzaku lives.
I mean if the prod got the balls they would be the first to kill the main character and have the second role lead on the rest of the story.
And really, what if all those 25 episode were just warming up, having Suzaku maturing, in order to make him a good first role in the series ?

    Holy Hell...
this episodes were really worth the wait...
but that cliffhanger was just plain evil...

I hate Nunnally... she ruined everything sending the others to free Suzaku and then got herself kidnapped.
Nina still alive? For the love of god!

Kallen ruled when she showed herself to her classmates. But wow... didn't expect her to break like that upon learning that Lelouch was Zero... hopefully this can be fixed in Season 2...

    Kill VV... and Suzaku.

    Orange-kun is awesome.

Unexpected that Cornelia was allowed to live at the end.

@Inazuma - I did post about the possibility you mentioned, as well as the result. Basically, kill the creators, or kill myself.

Suzaku can never, ever, replace Lelouch, also because of the fact that he can never partner up to C.C., the goddess of the series.

I dont hate VV. Seriously, no one knows enough about her to hate her.

Man just finished watching 24 & 25!! what a damn way to end this season!

It kinda left me ponder though, would suzaku really shoot lelouch? I mean if he really killed lelouch wouldnt that be suicide.. Since Suzaku has been gease to "Survive", well if that still in effect, or will that gease able to make him fast n smart enough to disable the bomb after he shot lelouch. GODDAMN PARADOX I DONT KNOW WHAT'S GOING TO HAPPEN NEXT!!.

  16. #676
OMFG! Code Geass how can you do this to me! This is the biggest cliff hanger I've dealt with in years. Thank you Oakleya though, you make a good point about Suzaku. He shouldn't be able to shoot him knowing that he's got that heart bomb thingy and we only hear one gunshot.

Gotta start with the bad i guess
Suzaku: I hate you so much you wannabe Near piece of shit I hope you have a bullet in your head in the first frame of S2.
Nina: Just die please, preferably without taking all of Tokyo with you.
Kallen: tough break Lelouch is Zero, suck it up and do your job.
V.V.: Who the hell are you and why are you abducting people?
OotBK: I know you all rely on Zero a lot but seriously you can't do anything by yourselves? Besides even if he'd been there there wouldn't have been much he could do.

The thing ticked me off the most was the last exchange between Lulu and Suzaku. I couldn't help getting pulled back into the philosophical debate raised in Death Note. They made Lulu look a lot like Light did at the end. That plus we get the little speech at the end where C.C. basically quotes the L/Near party line of "One cannot bind others and the world to himself." *cough* EMPEROR OF BRITANNIA?!?! *cough*. This just pissed me off, fuck that nonsense.

    The Good
The Cornelia fight and aftermath was a great surprise, very good emotional display. Orange-kun was just plain awesome, however his giant spinning ball of death was a little over the top for me. The battles were all excellent, I can't wait till gg releases a good quality version. Kallen vs Suzaku especially since they fought so evenly. Lelouch x C.C. fuck yeah! it's about time she admitted it to herself.
Toudou is just a monster in battle awesome to watch. Lancelot trapped again, it's too bad they couldn't blow it up...AGAIN.

Season 2 could be just about anything I'm really excited to see where they go with it. I just hope they don't do any kind of big time skip.

Suzaku can still shoot Lelouch in the arms, legs, shoulders, or basically anywhere that isnt fatal to disable him. That is indeed the only way Suzaku could have fired his gun. Aside from this, the gunshot was either from Lelouch or Kallen, target I leave up to your imagination.

I disagree with your point that Lelouch could do little if he was there. I am pretty sure that they would have won had Lelouch been in command, since that was his plan from the very beginning. Lelouch never initiates anything that will not succeed, and the only times he has failed was when unexpected factors come into play (ie Suzaku and Lancelot etc.) Losing Ougi also attributed to the confusion that erupted. Had Ougi been alright, they wouldnt have been wiped out so easily.

Big difference between near and Suzaku is, Near didnt look as bloodthirsty and psychotic, not to mention villainous as Suzaku in the similar scenes.

Wow though. That was so worth the wait. That was one hell of a Birthday present. Like I said before, there was very little actually predicted correctly because CG is just so full of surprises. Christ, I can't wait for the Visual Orgy that will be season 2.

That scene between Lelouch and C.C. I wish was just a bit longer but hell o satisfying nonetheless. LelouchxC.C. For the effing win! I've rewatched episode 25 twice now.

@Shinta, ugh! Haha, looks like we had the same idea! I had that screenshot in mind for my Avatar but I really wanted the Geass sign in there. And the space was simply too small to show it off. I had it all setup and everything.

Oh and. Get your azz out of that Cockpit right now!

I cant get out, Im trapped. Well, its not like I would want to anyway.

I just rewatched the scene between C.C. and Lelouch around 6-7 times, and I never usually rewatch anything. It was great, but in this case more is always better.
